MIC'D UP/UMP CAM

Спорт

On the April 16 edition of ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball," Houston
Astros catcher Martín Maldonado was "mic'd up" for an in-game player conversation. It marked the first time a catcher has been mic'd up for a live chat while playing in a regular-season game. Here's an excerpt. Learn more about the storytelling on Front Row. bit.ly/3A3AKQP. l

100% RETARDED. Somebody’s going to make a CRITICAL ERROR doing this one day soon and YOU WILL NEVER SEE IT AGAIN.

Man this sequence is really awesome 😎 prop to the catcher and pitcher for that matter. They were just out there playing around not taking themselves too seriously. Just a slice of baseball. Some nice pitching, a slugged hit, and a funny end to a scoreless inning. They can do more of that, pretty cool stuff.

Really shows how tough it is to hit MLB pitches. Those things are bullets switching directions in mid air

I kept pressing square but nothing was happening until I finally jacked one off the wall

They need to abandon all other pitching camera angles in favor of the umpire cam. Its so much better

His glove probably cost 3x what yours cost. They have silicone pads for your glove hand. Have you tried those?

Stop showing the ump cam during the live at bats, it should be for replays only. It’s very difficult for the viewer to jump between the two perspectives and accurately assess if a ball is a strike or not. I don’t know why national broadcasts have to make things so complicated. We’re tuning in to watch the game not your broadcast. That’s why local broadcasts are vastly superior. The producers know they’re simply conveying the action on the field not making it about themselves.
