Mic'd Up: Greg Roman "A**-Kicking, That's Our Mindset" | LA Chargers

Спорт

LA Chargers Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman is mic’d up at 2024 OTAs as he leads the Bolts’ offense with Head Coach Jim Harbaugh. Declaring “a**-kicking, that’s our mindset,” listen to Roman coach quarterback Justin Herbert, wide receiver Quentin Johnston, and more as the Chargers prepare for the 2024 NFL season.

How/why are you a fan of or curious of the chargers being a giants fan?? Genuinely curious? Completely different teams, opposite divisions, and legit opposite ends of the country. I am just genuinely curious on why you are keeping up with the chargers? I find it interesting on how/why people become fans of this team being that I’m from StL, grew up w the Rams, but always was a fan of the chargers. Rams and Chargers were my 1a and 1b teams, loved them both equally. But once the rams left, it became 1 and 2. Not to mention that coincidentally, both teams ended up in the same place and same stadium, and are almost forced to be rivals. Long story short, just want to know why a lifelong giants fan is on the chargers page and following their progression? Fan of the team? Fan of the sport? Plz lmk like o said, very curious :)

His mind got Lamar his 1st MVP and both seasons he got injured he was on his was to two more MVP caliber seasons. The players including Lamar were the problem. Dropping Footballs wasn't GRo, Fumbling wasn't GRo. So stop. The dudes mind is great. Our new OC had us 31st in Pass attempts and 1st in running where GRo tried to establish Lamar more as a passer but Lamar can't be consistent. You got lucky with GRo

Pipkins at RT got owned by a rookie #57 Tre'Mon Morris-Brash on an outside-in spin move that would have been a sack on Herbert (tape 7:00). Pipkins got completely turned to the outside, a rookie-like mistake by the veteran. You don't lean away from the inside to risk allowing a quick inside rush on the QB like that. Pipkins, a swing tackle in the making, an expensive one.

From my International World Division 1 Rugby days (70s, 80s, 90s) I will give a few thoughts - It IS a real different mindset. But if you think about it, it only requires some adjustment. The pitch is to 144 meters, (from deadline to deadline,) and 70 meters wide. - Consider nonstop action and flipping from offense and defence and back again, in a second. There are no stoppages, (ball or carrier hits the ground and they belong to you, if you are able) NO time outs - 45 min. halves - be good at everything - not just YOUR coverage. Nowadays they do allow for a few subs. You lose in the seams. Cover everything, always. On offense and defense with 1 second changes. The most important and best have the "Field Sense", AT every second - always aware of every possible scenario - every second, in every square yard of the field and its potential to help you or hurt you. (The NFL should grab those with field sense) NFL defense would be better all around. Be there - WE called it "ELEQUENT VIOLENCE" trashing someone completely BUT with eloquence. No position can be just a one-dimensional athlete - you must be the most complete, best all-around everywhere on the pitch, percentages favor those players over the 90 nonstop minutes. We don't talk or BS or boost - One Referee on the field (and 30 players scattered) and the ref is ALWAYS referred to as SIR. No bitch, no complaints, just YES SIR. Never any taunting, even your own team will not like it. Act like an asshole and even your own team will restore your common sense, sometimes harshly. Best ALL AROUND, capable overwhelming athletes in sports - watch their eyes, watching you. WATCH THEIR EYES WATCHING YOU FOR THE BEST SHOT - IT'S WHAT THEY DO, never forget... Never underestimate when one is tracking you. The NFL would be smart to start bringing some D1 international level players onto the field - they would add to the WOW factor - Or better yet watch the NO-PAD wearing and NON-HELMET-wearing US and International games. Best all-around athletes in the world - will one day be the most respected "GIVE BLOOD - PLAY RUGBY" as it were (famous bumper sticker) OR - as I was a hooker - "Support your local hooker) (see set scrum battles) I'm here, bring your hooker to the set - (hookers go one on one in set scrums) The best advice is - never take a solid shot - please. You have to take an hour and a half of them. The ball carrier is on his own, NO BLOCKING for him - BREAK FREE or go down in a nasty swarm for the new ball control. Quite entertaining in itself. Ignore references to your relatives in a loose ruck - it's expected that your mother is quietly referred to, in the mayhem of a ruck as - well, you know The home team is required to host an "adequate" post-game party for the visitors - it's in the rules. Bring your best, my friends - bring your best (not to be confused with the more sedate Australian Rules Football) Would love to have a quiet practice with the defense - (laugh and joke but don't play)

Watching this video just makes me wonder is there anything another team can use against them to beat the charges? Sorry for asking a dumb question but maybe the chargers should not show certain things just saying

THIS MAY BE an unpopular opinion, but i need this defense in practice to make Justin look as bad as possible. Who cares if Justin Herbert(the best qb in the nfl) is lined up against you, get a fking pick or make him throw an incompletion

These are just OTA's. The heat will come on him from the defense once training camp rolls in. Jim Harbaugh's training camp practices are real game-like competitions on the field.

Don’t think D is trying? Guarantee everyone out there is giving full effort. Lot of guys trying to impress the coaches and competing for jobs even in OTAs

@@rolfpeters123 OTAs are mostly for condition and scheme looks type practices. Running around with no pads on, no real blocking, no tackling, no full speed, etc. Can't win a job in OTAs
