Miami may be underwater by 2100
Ғылым және технология
Miami is one of the first US cities to experience the effects of climate change. But they’re not the only one. Several locations around the world face a grim future if climate change remains unabated.

Paul Phillips Nope our biggest threat isn't from the seas, it's from the rivers. More precipitation and glaciers melting will mean more pressure on the rivers and, as the sealevel rises, it will be much harder to deposit the water as the sea would pretty much be above the river.

Who cares if humans caused it? The fact of the matter is, it is happening. All these people talking about whether we caused it need to get off their rear ends and try to do something about it instead of pointing fingers.

I stay in Mumbai very close to the coastline and I am scared. In 2006 when we had record Rainfall the entire city went submerged for days. You probably wouldnt know Mumbai is the first largescale man made city wich was landfilled in the 1800s between 7 natural islands and now its all one. U would think it's just a city but it's population is equal to all of Australia.
It's shocking to see what's left of Miami Beach after not living in that area for 20 years. Its easy to believe the ocean will one day reclaim that territory.
Every 10 years they say the world will end in 10 years 🙄
Its soon to be 2019 and i havent seen us underwater

Sea Levels aren't even rising. NASA says the ice isn't even melting!
I got the notification way before the video got published, what happenned?
People said that the Us was supposed to be completely underwater by now soooo...
These things sound horrible until you realize that the sea level rise happens so slowly that the cities will literally just slowly migrate away from the rising shore line. Millions of people arent going to suddenly find their homes underwater over night. Its going to take decades upon decades.

It the sign of earth’s magnetic field is going to flip by the year 3000
As if the direct causes of rising sea level weren't bad enough, what happens when we have half a billion migrants fleeing rising sea levels? Compound that with the demographic bubble in many at risk countries and areas and we have political chaos in addition to the woes of the rising sea level. I fear for the next 84 years.

@iowaadventures4701

+TalesOfWar they thought 30 years ago or so that logically was sound about Britain being in another ice age. I do not deny that climate change happens it's a natural occurring part of nature. the problem I have is when they call it man made.
@TalesOfWar
8 жыл бұрын
Marty Anderson They don't say it's man made any more, but it's undeniable that we're having a negative effect. It would have happened regardless, but it's happening at a much faster pace than it would naturally because of the crap we pump into the atmosphere. Plus, it's bad for our general health anyway so that alone is reason to find cleaner more efficient ways to do things.
Rising sea levels look better for Canada than the US. We appear to be losing less landmass compared to the US. :P Especially in populated areas.
All of Florida needs to be underwater.
I recently moved from Miami to other city due to this reason. I dont want to buy a property that will be underwater very soon. I have 2 small kids too, so i need to keep them safe.

This view is an example of tunel vision. Look at Canada. I would have expected to see much greater changes there, but there are hardly any significant changes reported there on this map. In other words, it is not very credible. The damages projected in Canada, if shown realisticly, would be moch worse.
