the Mi11 ultra smoothes away so many details on these night shots just to have less noise in them. In theory the bigger sensor should have a big advantage in those scenarios, because it can use faster shutter speeds. Or the nightmode is just not well tuned. Especially the zoomed night shots look like oil paintings. On the other hand it doesnt oversharpen as much as the iphone, which is good.

Honestly it was really a close one but for me mi 11 ultra has a more vivid and the colours of the photos are so good and just right while the Iphone is very bright and looks very lively.. Love xiaomi it gives a aesthetic vibe.

So interesting to see little difference with the upgraded camera tech. Great vid as always!

bro. im very surprised about how fast the growth of Xiaomi is, it's just overtaking every smartphone company in every term, even the big boys like Apple and Samsung should be afraid now, every time they bring a smartphone that take a step to the next level, incredible.

I dont know, actually filming with 11 ultra is somehow hypnotising even though you are moving, stabilisation is so good, looks like making live gif :) amazing job and as u said, with a little bit of sotware optimisation, there will be no room left for iphone. Cheers!

The Same with my ultra 10. Just set the frames to 120 and it's UNREAL.

I use both manufacturers ... I just have to seriously say that Xiaomi uses the soft focus excessively, which means that many details are lost - on the other hand, Apple displays very warm white balances while these are very natural with Xiaomi.

I love to watch reviewers stationed in HK, I get a glimpse of my former homeland. If the H/K tuned speakers are good then this could be my new phone.

Me too. I was expecting the x5 times bigger sensor of the Ultra to annihilate the iPhone, especially at night shots, but that didn't happen.

Man, basta você percebe, que a câmera do iPhone adiciona um filtro de iluminação, por isso da a sensação de claridade. o que já a xiaomi bate a foto crua assim mantendo a fidelidade da imagem

I think night photos are better on mi 11 ultra and the zoom shots better too but you can't tell the difference when you take a normal day shot

I can tell the difference in the daytime photo with the illuminated writing on the wall...3m 14..... The iPhone hdr isn't as good.. The wall light is blown out... Same with other photos with lights...2m46 for example.. It over blows the lights.. The reflection near the piazza sign is red though... As it should be.. The iPhone just can't get the lights right... Look at the writing at 2.50 for the "clay pot rice".. Looks like a mess on the iPhone..

With much larger camera sensor both main and ultrawide, I expect some big improvements on xiaomi's cameras, but the iPhone still looks better in a lot of occasions especially in video, selfie, dynamic range and sharpness. And don't forget, Samsung still leading on in versatility and zoom range. I hope xiaomi can fixed on that on software update.

The 11 Ultra has originality in it's picture where as the pro max is editing its picture too much (Adding alot of color, brightening it alot, and literally changing the vibe of the clouds)

this is what we wanted tnx man. for me the ultra has better colors and the iphone are very yellowish it looks nice in some shots but is horrendous on low light since the shot looks yellow. but overall they are pretty much equal in quality.both the best in their respective os

Need to compare against s21 ultra! Curious about in between 1x and 5x zoom. That is a big gap.

It looks like Mi 11 Ultra delivers great quality and realistic photos while iPhone just tries to make the photo itself look nice!

iPhone gives you the end result ready to post on social media which is good but the Mi 11Ultra gives you more room to edit the images later which is better.

guys, please check the bit depth first and than decide. Means.... the details in the darkest and brightest areas. please compare with depth

As for preference between the images straight out of camera between the phones i would say with my personal taste it was about a 50/50 in which one i prefered. But if i had to choose i would still pick the Mi 11 for the simple fact it has the higher resolution and larger sensor meaning it should retain most details for my edits. Not sure about the iPhone but i know the android phones i have had the last couple of years have been able to capture images in raw format which i prefer for just about everything apart from taking a quick selfie. Granted if i actually plan on taking photos i take my D7500 with me that beats any mobile phone to date. The phone is the "i did not bring my camera" backup. ;)

Coincidentally watching on weekend only..hope you too have a great weekend Frankie. Also, I think while shooting videos you kept, iphone and ultra on other sides while editing you replaced their positions, hence your eye movements and face direction was the other way around . 😂

Xiaomi seems to be taking over the world in terms for phone specs and price...

Thank you for the review. Honestly, the only thing that I like better in MI 11 Ultra were night shots and zoom over 5x, which I don't consider important. In video there is sooo much room for improvement. Textures are washed out. And in daylight photos, I don't know if there is one picture, that I would prefer over the IPhone. I would have to see it in 100% crop. And the flower looks out of focus to me.

One thing i noticed in every iphone camera is that it the photos are always a bit warmer. The ios camera focuses more on the yellow+orange color in the pictures

That green look in iPhone is starting to make me tired to be honest! Every time I have to change the white balance in almost every shot

@@berealbud2963 true, it's the software that does the heavy lifting and their unwillingness to upgrade their hardware is hurting them big time I got a pixel 4a today just to see what all the hype was about, very disappointed to see it performs just about the same as my LG G8x using Urnyx Gcam, it has better noise control but that's about it, we have lived far too long with reviewers spoonfeeding us tales of Pixel's optical superiority that we just assumed it to be true constantly.

Is there an Android phone with a comparable camera to iPhone for recording video?

iPhone has this artificial filter on its photos while Mi11Ultra keeps it close to real life colors. Mi11Ultra also got better details and textures in lower light and night mode. iPhone video has better color and details than Mi11Ultra hopefully it will become better with a software update. ❤️

Just love Mi 11 Ultra in every way. The zoom shots, the camera performance and what not. Definitely towards Mi 11 Ultra.

Mi 11 Ultra has a slightly better camera result compared to iPhone 12 Pro Max's that shows warm colors. On the other hand, Mi 11 Ultra shows cooler and more natural colors during pictures captured. But still Mi 11 Ultra needs updates to improve its camera performance even further. Btw, I really liked the photo shots of Mi 11 Ultra. Nice video. Keep up the amazing work, buddy.

Most of the shots are sharper with iPhone. The mic on Mi is sounding better. Anyway, This is an incredibly amazing video with 239k views so far. One of the most interesting comparison. Congratulations Frankie.
