Seriously, "10mm thick"? It's being referred to as chunky, but all specs say 8.4mm. Similar to s21 ultra and OnePlus 8/9

@@Techtablets It really had a cinematic feel to it. Something only bigger camera systems normally give. Also the portrait shots og your daughter - wow!

I dont like when fanboys come and trash a phone just because they own other brand . The truth is that phones like this will only improve the smartphones world . They will make Samsung , Iphone , Huawei and other big companies thrive for better results . Regardless of what some might say its obvious that this phone its a brilliant piece of technology , fantastic all-round phone . Take care everybody , learn to appreciate good products and stop the hate 🙏

Exclude iPhone also... People who buy iPhone, For them iPhone is the best . If apple launches an iPhone now with everything same as iPhone 5s except for the processor (obviously they will use the latest one) and tell people it's their new invention, people will buy it.... It just doesn't matter 😒

@@saqlainansari9081 Not so much mate , as a 9 year flagship only android boy that has gone to the dark side with an iphone12 pro Max , I did not buy it because “it was the best” , I bought it because it was a good overall package with a decent camera(good overall) , loud stereo speakers , a good chipset , it has nice screen which did not have gimmicky curved edges, no useless gimmicky macro lens and support and updates that a phone like the one in this video could only dream about. I might add , as most flagship android devices no longer have SD card or 3.5 mm headphone Jack flagships , there is no reason to stay with android. Edit : the last good android phone in my book was the note 9 which I still have and use also.

It's impressive to see how many videos you've been releasing lately without compromising on quality. I know it's hard work, so thanks for all the great reviews!

You're first look is more detailed (and better shot) than many peoples full review - this channel is fast becoming my go-to place for a reliable look at the slew of gadgets coming out all the time

i don't think yours are less top-quality than others..quality comes from inside not just those shiny frames&shots..you do detailed review and the way you review things aren't from an apple user,(as you have used chinese phones & tablets which are android for a longer time than those big youtubers in US/CA) , which makes you overall a better & more reliable reviewer than them...also you are one of a few, if not only, who makes a summary of pros & cons at the end which is useful to remember all shortcomings mentioned in the video. wish you a more successful year.

Very good job here! Congratulations Chris! In fact, the phone presented helps a lot to get such result !! An "Ultra" phone, really! Quality, performance ... what else to comment!?!? In the photos, the ones made in "portrait" mode are absolutely fabulous (the "macro" and "zoom" ones, as well).... And from what everyone notices, on the back of the Mi 11 Ultra does not write "Leica", "Zeiss" or "Hasselblad". And the video part is also amazing, 8k with all 3 cameras?!? Pfff ... hat off ! I would like to see, at the final review, some video sequences with the slow motion,. because they have a quality above anything that currently exists. Yes, this SND 888 seems to be a problem ... absolutely all phone manufacturers are hindered by the same problem ... overheating. But let's be patient until a few software updates appear, which can reduce the severity of this problem. But at least Xiaomi lets you enjoy maximum performance even when it crosses an acceptable temperature threshold.

Thanks once again Chris, no matter how many others review it i'll always check yours as well. In the full review please focus more on the main camera capabilities to decide if it lives up to being the greatest sensor on mobile. That huge camera module on the back it's definitely a strong statement and will make this phone easily recognizable an if feels like once you own this kind of beast it's no going back to tamed phones. Also please do a review on the new pro notebooks although the GPU part is definitely underwhelming. Cheers

This first impressions is far more detailed than expected! Excellent work! I like the fact you don't hide the imperfections of the camera and show it as it is. Still it has a great potential to become even better with firmware and software upgrades. Mobile phone technology has definitely come a long way, I won't be surprised when mirrorless cameras and entry level DSLRs will eventually be replaced by these cameras. Looking forward to a more in depth photo and video comparison with other flagship cameras!

They are all ready replaced. All imaging companies are loosing a lot of sells in low and mid segment. All have decreased quite dramatic in the last 1-3 years.

That night mode looks great, best I've seen so far from anyone reviewing the cameras 👌 The screen quality is the best by far too, flawless it looks. Finally the audio have bass, quality still crystal clear, can hear every instrument 🔥🔥🔥

@@gjna5143 i did, many. Chris just confirmed what other reviewers have said, "mi 11 Ultra have the best display of any phone today", it's unanimous! Tbh, some did use the words "slightly better" but it's better nonetheless.

Interesting updates from the Mi 10T Pro. Your 10T Pro review actually pushed me to get the phone. 5 months later & I'm loving it. Battery life is amazing, can push to 2 days. The LCD display is great, definitely not a disadvantage. It's a refreshing change to have s phone that ain't tall and skinny!

Excellent well balanced review. I like the fact phones in different class brackets are held to different scrutiny levels. The points raised would improve the phone. Hopefully Xiaomi listens it would be in their interests. That few extra percentage gain could push the quality and value of their phones to the point people will find it hard to find fault. The other great thing about the reviews are you can't tell any obvious brand bias unlike many reviewers. No silly comments or blantant untrue statements made that you think never going to watch again The quality here makes you know watching is going to be beneficial. Great job.

To think in 2030, mi 11 ultra will be lowest end budget phone.

The third, "blank" flash is actually a cutout for the color sensor for whitebalance. It was used on the Mi 10 Ultra as well, this is why it had perfect whitebalance. This is actually what used in pro photography: a defuser which scatters light evenly held in front of the objective and set the white balance to that. It will match the environment light evenly. Hiding this in the flash is very clever, because one: its hidden, two: the prism that acts for the flash as a light distribution is also good for this sensor.

Very nice detailed review! I personally would have preferred a flat display with square corners and a slight top bezel just enough for the selfie camera so that the display is fully uninterrupted. Also would have liked if Xiaomi started to use USB C 3.1 instead of the outdated 2.0.
