As sns user who constantly reads "your weapon is a nice starter weapon, use wide range and free meal skills" This is your wide range SnS numbers gonna wide range you all over the map. Free meal will be later when monster is cooked. That usually happens when you finally get red color for the first time on your beloved ls.

I’m guessing you’re using the stealth jewel so that you can make Alatreon stop flying when you’re in the smoke bomb? That is very smart because without it then he just keeps flying and sometimes he yeets an ice spike right into your smoke bomb and knocks you out of it. I’ll have to try that out, his flying phase is what made me not like speedrunning him.

Never seen anyone take it out this quick with melee. SnS is so overpowered

holy crap man, that was amazing. As a sns main I can't believe those numbers! it's humbling...

@@stormcutter59 if you press R2 or RT while weapon is sheathed, you can immediately press down on the left joystick and hit Y or triangle to perform back hop.

I think the boss music isn't Alatreon's but yours mate, great fight!

Wait…do you get I-frames during the hop back before the perfect rush combo? At 1:26 he dodges Alatreon’s attack with the hop back 🤯 Edit: just googled, it indeed does have I-frames for those whose don’t know. This guys usage of the back hop is insane. Definitely a master 🙌

You are correct. The only reason he has ice attack on his build is because he is using velkhana armor. If he could take the ice attack off he probably would. He uses the velkhana armor for the frostcraft set bonus. It works well with SnS and is a huge DPS increase. Combo that with heroics and you start doing some stupid amounts of damage.

Try max out all the buffs + heroic + frostcraft, you'll hit the exact same number.

Claw uppercut has hyperarmor. You can't be interrupted by normal attacks (including roar) while doing so. So it's perfect for activating Feline Heroic while not wasting any time.

How do you avoid Escaton without elemental weapons? A friend and I have been trying to duo Alatreon and one-phase him like you have here but when ever we reach 60k damage, no matter the time, Alatreon goes Escaton.

Even in speedrun he has a chance of doing Escaton. It's just RNG once his HP is low. I once got EJ in as early as 2min 20sec. You have to kill him as fast as possible after the flight in 2nd phase (after the element transition, which is triggered by 50%HP threshold). So if you can CC him after the flight, do it. If not, pray you can kill him fast enough.

You can do backhop from neutral by pressing RT (or R2) + ↓ + B (or Circle) if you are using a controller. Yes Forstcraft is perfect for the Perfect Rush playstyle. If you wanna learn about SnS I recommend a guide made by a Japanese speedrunner Zen (with English sub). 4 pieces of Velkhana armors give you Frostcraft, which at maximum gauge grants you 25% (30% for Greatsword iirc) damage boost, and this is post attack power calculation, which is amazing, and the Velkhana Gamma set also provides great skills and slots. It also synergizes super well with Perfect Rush. There's your answer. Try it out.

There is, but it's VERY unlikely to happen. I only got once after like 2000 resets (including my previous Alatreon runs of course.)

Well I switched to PC after Iceborn was released, which was half a year later than the PS4 release. I think it was around the corner of MRKT release? By that point, I basically had everything on PS4 (except for endemic lives) but Capcom doesn't support save transfer between PC and PS4. So I basically downloaded a 100% Save and changed the name. No way I'm grinding another 1,000 hours on PC just to unlock the necessary equipment for speedruns...

I vote to ban this guy from MHW...this is too much! 😂

So the GSnS can do this but meanwhile people still think the longsword deserves to be nerfed 🤦‍♂️
