Fr. Michael Hatcher, born in 1951. Attended Mater Cleri and Bishop White Roman Catholic Seminaries. Became Orthodox in his early twenties. Married Gita Susan George in St. Thomas Cathedral in Madras, now Chennai, in 1978. 3 children, 6 grandchildren. Two years of directed reading and liturgical training under Rev. Fr. Kurien Thottupuram Corepiscopos. Spent a few weeks at Old Seminary Kottayam for seminars. Ordained Deacon and a week later Priest in Queens, NY, by HG Makarios Thirumeni in June 1987. Served St. Gregorios Spokane since then. Also helped establish St. Thomas Seattle. Ordained Corepiscopos in 1994.
Deacon Alexander (Pradeep) Hatcher is a graduate of St. Vladimir’s Seminary (M.A., 2013) and now works in various capacities for the Seminary, Ancient Faith Publishing, Liturgical Resource Development, and other organizations. The son of a priest, Chor Episcopos Fr. Michael Hatcher, was raised in the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church in Spokane, Washington, alongside his older brother, who is also a priest, and older sister. Deacon Alexander is blessed with a wonderful wife, Soosan, and son, Joseph. They live in the Greater New York area and attend St Thekla Orthodox Mission.
