MG ZST 2021 review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Re-booted MG has found success delivering budget alternatives to increasingly expensive popular mainstream models.
Cars like the MG3 hatch and ZS small SUV have made serious inroads on the sales charts with this simple-but-affordable approach.
The new ZS variant for 2021, the ZST, aims to change this though, with new technology and a more comprehensive safety offering at a correspondingly higher price.
The question - does MG’s ZS small SUV formula still work when the price and spec playing field is more level with its mainstream rivals? We went to the ZST’s local launch to find out.
In the full review we cover how the ZST lines up against the segment in terms of its pricing, specs and features while also anaylising its design, interior practicality and boot space.
The ZST's key rivals include the Mitsubishi ASX, Kia Seltos, Honda HR-V, and Hyundai Kona.
With a new three-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission, has the ZST improved behind the wheel over the lackluster ZS?
We'll also take a look at its fuel consumption and minimum RON requirement, alongside other details like its warranty promise.
For details on its ownership including service pricing, as well as a complete breakdown of how we get to the score at the end of the video, remember to check out the full written review over on CarsGuide.com.au

Can't understand why people are so sensitive about these small features like , air vents at the back. The flow of air from the front will eventually come to the back and subsequently the air flow will always be quite neutral (once the air has obviously encapsulated the cabin) keeping the cabin in a nice temperature.( This may vary depending on how long you keep the climate control on for ) We're also talking about a car which has an outstanding price tag and doesn't have such a big cabin. 😶🙃

I have an LDV ute, also made by SAIC, same as the MG. SAIC is a massive corporation and in the top 10 car manufacturers by volume, in the world. Cars are made by robots anyway. So it is simply not true that Chinese cars are badly made. Australia is so bad at making cars, the major Japanese companies and the Americans have given up on us. As for the LDV ute, I bought it in July 2018 and have had zero, zilch, nil problems with it. Due to it's build quality I am seriously interested in the MG brand from this manufacturer.

It might not have some creature comforts like leather seats, but I would rather pay for the reliability than for features. I remember someone brags to me ten years ago about how he bought the top of a range Proton Gen 2 for like $26k. Now those things are worth $5k max on a good day. Compared to similar era i30 SLX, which are worth like $8-10k and were around the same price as a fully-featured Gen 2. Yet where is Proton now? Yep gone from Australia. I wouldn't even piss on the last of the Holden cars. Even the last of the Australian made commodores with a V6 wasn't anything spectacular. I’m sick of you guys pushing Chinese brands.. until they mutually respect what we do for them. Then stop advertising their brand. You don’t see them boasting Aussie beef, barley, Wine or much at all. Stuff them. Stick it where the sun don’t shine.

I have one thing to say: They’re made in China. Do we really want to be buying our cars off them at all? They don't want our raw materials, then I don't want their manufactured knock offs.

I can’t believe anyone would even consider buying a vehicle from China at the moment. Have you forgotten they gave us COVID 19?

buy from US or UK then, they are now doing a much better job in exporting COVID19 as China is clean with Covid also most likely overtime you would see more UK/US brand get sold to Chinese just like MG, Volvo - there would be less and less choices left
