EV should be exempted from all tax in India and made more affordable the pricing is still out of reach from economical buyers companies should start working on EV under 5L & 10L keeping general public buyers in mind.

The performance of Kona is excellent...I get 350-380 KMS on a single charge easily , depending on usage like AC , different modes of power etc.... Last two month in idle situation the change didn't drop at all...on the other hand my E2O had to be charged every 4-5 days...I have driven honda city for 14 years...Kona is just sturdy car and a pleasure to drive

I’m driving Kona electric since Nov 2019. On a consistent basis, vehicle is returning 300Km on a single charge in Bengaluru traffic. Around 40 units is the consumption per charge cycle . In a month , I save close to ₹10K on petrol . This is the best car available in the market currently. Go green should be the motto.

Wider network more features enough juice in the battery better seats higher ground clearance (quite important for our country especially if you consider an electric vehicle's battery pack) and adequate performance. There have been instances in City traffic where 15% to 20% of range is recovered by Regenerative braking. Here are some things both car could have done better - 1. More advanced battery management as internal updates roll out. Battery Mgmt is key to greater ranges. 2. Continuous monitoring of all internals and notify in case of any maintenance requirements. 3. Buttons are outdated. Voice controls in all Indian languages is doable. 4. Park assists, Level 2 Autonomous driving at least. 5. Less Kerb weight. 6. Front space like Frunk in Tesla. 7. Option to replace batteries.

good cars but we don't have the EV infrastructure in India . What this country needs are DC fast charging outlets at every petrol station then the case for an EV makes sense . Otherwise for an everyday runabout while these cars are good they're just too pricey for the common man to be the " second car " as everybody needs at least one petrol burner for those highway trips . . . . .

Batteries used in EVs can last upto 500000 kms but with a reduced SoC u can still use them all EVs give a 8 year warranty on battery so till then not to worry even after that they will last 3-4 years more if ur planning to get new battery then u can use those old batteries for inverter in home or the manufacturer take old battery and give some discount on new battery u can decide which one is more economical for u. Now the battery price is 156 dollar per kwh which was 1800 dollar per kwh just 8-9 years before then think after 8 years what will be the battery cost it will be very less by then so it's a win win situation.

EVs running on renewable energy sources would be absolutely non polluting. How can batteries be a " big poisonous thing "? Modern li- ion cell chemistries offer high energy and power densities, also these things can undergo thousands of charge-discharge cycles with minimum capacity losses. Clearly the advantages of these outweigh the " disadvantages " by a very big margin.

EVs have separate motors for every single wheel which results in less battery life. If one single powerful motor drives all the 4 wheels or only back or front, then the battery life might get better in terms of long drive range.

Car companies need to focus on more availability of electric charging booths rather than launching lots of electric vehicles and blame market if the sell figure are low or not per expected. Even with fast charging there is minimum 1 hour time required to charge vehicle and If there is lack of charging booths and you can travel average 200km/charge without conditions this means these cars are not useful for even Mumbai pune return journey in a single charge which is 350-400km if you don't find electrical charging booth. Don't blame product or people for unexpected sell figure, we need as more numbers of charging stations as possible.
