@@sumitindori8029 most times they don't because VW and Skoda have everything same especially interms of engine and also it's specs and driving dynamics, suspension and build... So only Rapid or Vento Kushaq or Taigun... But maybe the case is different with Slavia and Virtus. Because weight and dimensions of Virtus is not same as Slavia as far i know..

Autocar channel are biased And proof is bcoz kia karnival is discontinued in the global market and its 2nd gen had been launched in the global market but still no 2nd gen in Indian market still autocar channel had given car of the year to kia carnival This proofs that autocar is a biased channel

Agreed, Astor is best value for money among this, yeah diesel variant is disadvantage but as you said, from the base to top it offer the best in best features which makes it better then other vehicle.

It's just about the infotainment system which should not be important to people who enjoy driving like me and similar ppl. It's second best in terms of performance compared to German cars but are super reliable to keep it for an entire decade 👌🏻👌🏻

Wow, Rachat is considering Nissan Kicks for comparison even in 2022 March. I own XV Premium CVT and it is way better than others. Astor is another classic car. One observation is Insulation in XV Premium CVT has best NVH levels in the class.

What could be resale value of 4 year old Kicks XL diesel?

After your last review with Astor i purchased its SAVVY Varient...... Now i m happy with it .... It's drive is very addictive sice i m a tech savvy person..... Its 360 camera although not that much clear but is very useable in tight city spaces....... Its AC is quite powerful.... ADAS is full paisa wasool... Especially its adaptive cruise control works amazingly well in city traffic.... And Blind spot detection is cherry on top... Also Intelligent Headlamp control works pretty well too on highways..... Overall great car u cn definitely go for it if not an enthusiast....

@@nmanmeet Mileage in city sucks ....that is 8.5-10 With ac it sucks even more.....that is 5.5 to 7 They both are in bumper to bumper traffic.... On highway with out ac i managed to gain 21 kmpl.... With Ac i gained 17.5.... So mileage on highway is good... But not in city.... Sunshade does not create heating issue as much..... As the AC works pretty well..... Though when u touch the glass portion it is hot but the heat gets dissipated effectively..... So hot weather and sunroof won't be a problem for u ..... And also don't expect high performance from a CVT gearbox...... If want performance go for turbo varient

Test drove all the cars except the Astor, and went with the Kicks Turbo Petrol XV premium. It delivers immense power off the line, like in the video. True the automatic lacks punch at the top end, but shifting it to manual makes it an amazing car to drive. I have been finding excuses to drive the car everyday.. Its a joy! Yes, the interiors are drab..but i dont mind it.. Its functional and works for me, especially at such a low price point compared to the others. I kept up with an Audi A8 on the highway at over 120kmph without breaking a sweat.

Glad you added kicks in the comparison. I get all the necessary features in my manual kicks top variant 1.3 turbo xv pre option. A 360 camera, cruise control cornering fog lamps, rain sensing vipers, rear defogger idle stop , full leatherite good ac etc that too at 14.2 lac ex showroom . Show me a single manufacturer who is providing a top variant turbo at this price point … plus a ground clearance of 210mm and a solid build quality and japanese nissan gtr dna mirror coating tech together with a gem of an engine even used in merc benz a200. I am not sure why people are missing on this japanese gem for some gimmicky low build quality , no use features… For sunshades i can buy a sun shades for rs 50. Have enough space in the car to keep different items… its a no nonsense go anywhere car … you will stand out for its sheer size which is biggest in the segment… A sunroof reduces safety if a car topples . We dont live in europe to enjoy a sunroof in this hot weather. Kicks has a usable roof rails capable of carrying 100kilo load…. Truely made for India… sadly Nissan is not good at marketing and gimmicky features… and how come creta is a new car . Its an old car facelifted.

@@carlover5763 get your facts corrected , i used to stay in mexico the test which you are mentioning here is the one conducted in nissan kicks sold there (brazil mexico) which is a small sub 4 meter one.. also the variant tested is without esc electronic stability control. Nissan kicks was a small suv sold there in mexico and it looks like chevrolet beat .

if you are okay with economy of 8-12 kmpl in petrol engine.. close your eyes and book carens. It will beat maruti in every way. If you want Diesel.. just go for carens blindly. If CNG, then go for ertiga CNG VXI. I have researched a lot ! Carens is better than XL6.

Fuel Efficiency of Astor CVT & MT shown similar in your video. I think there is a significant difference. Nice video 👍

The rear seat comfort is good but not the best at its a sufficient space for two people and three people can sit but will be little uncomfortable and can be tiring for long drive. Rest the cushioning is good lacks little under thigh support and has more than sufficient over headspace for 5.11 person and decent for anyone above that height.

@@Sam.RoyalRider yes mileage is poor i am getting the lowest as 9 and highest 10.5 but the power for 1.5cvt did not disappoint me it was good yes there is a rubberband effect but that’s common in cvt. Also for more power you can go for turbo 1.3 which is 3cylinder.

I bought 1.5 Petrol MT astor sharp variant and I don't think at all that it is underpowered !! It is more than sufficient and can go uphill very easy without any problem , moreover the crossover design makes it more aerodynamic .

i am proud owner of Nissan Kicks love to drive in city or highway or hilly areas it is so comfortable to drive even the milage which claim by company is 13-14 on Highway, i always had milage of 20-22 on Highway and sometimes I went for 24 kmpl in city i usually get around 12-13 in Mumbai City which is too good it's an amazing car. I have CVT turbo and has excellent pickup....

Very honest review, i love the way you have explained about seltos and Astor features. If we talk about build quality and interior MG astor is far better than all, driving skoda & kick, features again MG astor with some distance, Best value Astor base and kick, stylish Seltos ( my personal opinion). Verdict if your budget is 12 then go for Astor and Kick, 15 to 18 can't say however Kusaq or seltos but if you have 20+ then try anyone but don't miss Astor bcz they offer ADAS value of money.
