So far this DP is the only Mezco I have opened. It is awesome, but the shoulder area material bothers me. I don't like how it binds.

Funny you mention that, this made me order the classic Cap just earlier today. I'm falling down that rabbit hole!

I think Mezco has to keep improving because so far they're mostly very interesting experiments with the ocassionally amazing release (Punisher, TDKR Batman, Cap). IMO having an action figure that you can't move THAT much (in DP's case, because of the leather-like parts and bad ankles) is not very appealing to me. I still do like what they're trying to do and I wouldn't mind getting the characters they get right AND can move pretty well. If they ever release a Swamp Thing I will lose my mind.

The green and yellow deadpool reminds me of kick-ass

That peg scare highlights an issue I hadn't even thought of with these - there's a pretty good chance stuff could pop or break in there without me knowing until something just falls over on a shelf. I REALLY, REALLY like the look of this version, though - the colors make the sculpt pop better, I think, the harness is cool, and I think they pulled off the leather-cloth transition pretty well. One note with that rifle, though - is it me, or does it look like he has a bunch of overlapping sights that would make using any of them almost impossible? It would fit the character! I think if I'm going to go in on this line it's going to be a Red Skull, because those look SO much better than any Legends version so far. Great video!

Robo, when you're rotating the arm, you gotta counterrotate the leather to keep it from bunching up and such. That's allowed me to get the arm in more extreme positions than I initially thought I could.

I have this aswell! It's a very good figure and this was a very good review although I would like to say that the grenades do go into his belt, exactly where you were putting it, and also on the back

There is some clearance between the belt and the Deadpool love handles to clip on a few grenades.

fwoosh, I have to say you sold me on this guy. i was literally scared of owning a figure with cloth and leather surrounding his entire body. like would the leather go bad or if i make a hole in the cloth. it scared me but i went out and got it and i dont regret it at all.

Believe me, I felt the exact same way. I still do, really, having a few more now but only opening a few. I love them but they still scare me, haha.

Spray the magazines in floor polish, only a coat or two. It will dry clear and will add enough additional material to add friction.

The holster breaking is a more wide spread problem as mentioned before. The problem is it's almost hard to tell with the naked eye, but it's not really truly back in when you try to pop it back in. There is a thin hairline crack on the top "circular" part that makes it almost impossible to get back in! Ultimately what I had to do was heat it up so I could wrap it back up on the peg part, then get the thin pointy end of the dental floss sticks and dab some glue on it, that way I could gently glue it in place and it's actually kept it from popping off and oddly enough increased his mobility

I actually cut a part talking about how it looks like it's working it's way back out, didn't want to devote more time to it. It hasn't popped back out but it definitely looks like it is separating. I see glue in the future.

Yo robo! My D pool holsters came apart also.....I super glued them back together because my fat fingers could not get that peg back in to save my life. I was pretty pissed but still like the figure and the line

I have a few Mezco One: 12's and I agree with the non-uniformity of the head and body but I feel it works for some characters, like Daredevil seeing as his suit is leather but his cowl is a harder material, in the comics, it translates well into the figures. Same for Captain America but SOME characters get it real bad like Spidey, and to a lesser extent Deadpool. Maybe further down the line they'll get better in meshing them together with textures and create a good illusion of plastic being ''cloth''.

As someone who love Revo DP I should be the last one to complain about aesthetics (lol), but the plastic mask head (after seamless cloth body) and the *_turtleneck_* is really bothersome.

I really like this figure a lot. My only issue is how loose the gun clips can be. Leaving me paranoid it'll fall and disappear behind the depths behind the hard to move furniture.

In some light it really does look green.

You mentioned a new camera. Is that to record the review or for still photos? It looks like there’s not as many frames per second as the last camera. Or is it just me? Definitely looks different.

Actually, you're right. It seems that even though I have video set to 60fps, because of another setting it shot at 24fps. The old camera was 30 fps. I took some of the still with it and pulled out the DSLR for some of the more distance shots, couldn't get the detail with the new one. Thanks for the heads up, I wouldn't have noticed the frame rate. Must keep tinkering....

In my opinion this figure is the most esthetic in 1/12 scale but not the most pose-able Gonna purchase it anyway x) Is mezco more expensive because of using soft parts ?

That and they don't have production runs as large as other lines. Smaller runs=higher cost. And yeah, from what I hear cloth is expensive to work with.

Cool review Robo! For some reason I think Deadpool would have really benefited from some additional details on the actual costume. Just seems like the chest area is really plain and it stands out. I think some more sculpted sections or piping would make a big difference.

Yeah, but I think that would cause more trouble for the softgoods. I don't know, give and take.

Mezco really needs to fix their effing ankles. That being said, at least every figure comes with it's own stand so you can still get great poses even without the ankle rocker.

Looks like I spoke too soon. Have you seen D Amazing's reviews for the con exclusive Wolverine and Red Skull? Looks like they are now address the ankle pivot issues. Too bad all of the Caps, Daredevils, Deadpools and Punishers have the old, crap ankles. The stands still really help though.

Open that punisher already dammit lol. You are doing yourself and the figure in question a serious disservice.

the holster peg is a widespread problem, same thing happened to me but on both sides. I couldnt get them back in and just gave up and left it unpegged. Visually this harness is good looking but they shouldve done the leg holster pegs the same way they did PX punisher's. I think the x-force deadpool will be the best of the 3, but as far as durability, the SDCC one, since that one is all cloth and no pleather (so no chance of flaking over time). also im not a fan of katana sheaths being straight up and down, i like them crossed more since it's not as cumbersome and i just like the way that would like more lol. Overall i really like this figure, i have it posed pretty dynamically and it looks great with marvel legends, cant wait for my x-force one, it think that one will have this one beat as it uses the SDCC harness but gives you a leg holster that doesnt need to peg in, so no hinderances on leg articulartion or arms. With the red deadpool harness i felt like it was way more fragile and was constantly scared of breaking it.

It really is a good figure but there is a lot of Deadpool stuff coming. Depends on what you're looking for, really.

Hey Robo did you ever get his harness fully back together ??? The same damn thing happened to mine and I CANNOT get the @#&*%+! thing back together at all !!! I was wondering if you have any suggestions as to how to fix it ? YET ANOTHER AWESOME REVIEW BTW !!!

Oooo, depends. If I need a figure to stand there and look pretty cool with other figures from other lines I'd go Mezco. If I need a crazy posed leaping through the air over everyone else figure I'd go Amazing Yamaguchi. But I think if there was a fire and I could only grab one, I'd grab the Mezco.

Question about the leather will it crack or get destroyed in the future

Haha, no no, I totally get it. I'm a total sucker for the character itself, always have been, so even with it's faults I give it a pass. I'm ready for a real test of the line, a character that I won't fawn over but will judge by the actual figure merits. But it doesn't hurt to sneak in with something I'm going to like either way, heheh.

I really love the Revoltech but as far as shelf presence and fitting in with the rest I gotta give it to the Legends HasCon X-Force Deadpool. I love the colors and such there. Just barely edges the Mezco X-Men DP.

Ahh interesting choice but nice, thanks for the reply.

This company is incredible when it comes to sculpting and attention to detail, but I cannot stand the use of soft goods. It's completely unnecessary in this scale. The large areas of bright red, undefined muscle and large stitch work clashes with the intricate detailing and paintwork of the plastic parts. Plus it hinders articulation and probably reduces the long term durability.

Trust me, someone who has 8 Mezco figures sitting out right in front of him, when I say that the soft goods do *not* hinder the articulation. All of these figures have at least as much if not more range than any given Marvel Legends in all joints except the ankles, and that's due to the engineering of the ankle rather than any issue with soft goods. Plus, if you're looking for a figure where you can see every single muscle striation, every nook and cranny through the fabric, than you'll never find anything, even in life-size, because skintight fabric doesn't work like that. And it's not like everything's completely undefined, it's just that you can mostly only see the convex shapes through the fabric (as is realistic) rather than the concave shapes, and how well you can see the convex shapes can depend on the lighting. I've heard time and again people voice very similar complaints to yours, until they got a Mezco figure in hand, and then they just absolutely loved it. Sure, that's not everyone; there are some people that just can't like it at all, but the majority of people I've seen that have said those same complaints and then gotten a Mezco figure in hand did a complete 180.

Rafael Chavez Yeah, my first entry was the PX Exclusive Teal DKR Batman, and that convinced me the line was doing something special. After that, I got Daredevil, then Normal Punisher and Normal Cap, and I sold Normal Cap to get Classic Cap, then I got Reverse Flash, then Green Arrow, then I sold Normal Punisher to get Classic Punisher on eBay (yes, I massively overpaid for it), then Deadpool, and finally, Flash. I'm definitely in for the long haul with this line. The only figure that's already out that I need to get is Shazam; Joker, I don't feel like I need to get, as they said they're gonna make another couple versions of him.

I feel like you should have reviewed this one first...

Yeah, this figure had the unfortunate fate of being one of the first shot on my new camera. A lot of the details and textures didn't come through.

this was my first mezco and honestly it was a dissapointment... all the joints were lose and his hand would keep falling out
