Mexican Food Spots in Dallas (Panaderia, Taqueria & More)
In Honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, and Eli craving Mexican food. I decided to highlight three different Mexican food establishments. First a no-frills Mexican restaurant (Tipico's) where the food reminded me of the home cooking's my grandmas used to make me. Then I stopped at a Taqueria to try some 99 cent Trompo tacos and a lot more. Finally, I had to visit a Panaderia to get a variety of Mexican Baked Goods & Sweets. Yea they are really good!
Homemade Menudo is the best. My better half makes the best. Menudo with the honeycomb looking pansa, cut up cleaned in tiny pieces, cooked for5 or 6 hours so after 2 chews the meat disintegrates. Of course, the pozole, limoncito, cebollita, and got to have fresh made hot corn tortillas with butter n salt. Chile de monte a mordida, or pico de gallo.
Menudo is made from tripe (beef), usually with pigs feet added. And, it is an acquired taste. Definately my taste. Oh yeah! Keep up the good work, Food Guyde.
