In this episode we had our dads try food from Colombia 🇨🇴
Coming from the home of cumbia, our dads tried some of Colombia's iconic dishes: Arepa, bandeja paisa, ceviche de camaron, brevas con arequipe, ajiaco, aguapanela, and patacon. Let's see what our dads think!

I've never had it, but it sounds good. That fig, cheese and caramel sounds good. Earlier I went to the store and was tempted to get a fig jam with goat cheese and toast. I should have gotten it as that is the closest to what they served.

Indofijian here who is dating un Colombiano. Literally told him I was craving ajiaco earlier today and we’re going to get some this weekend! I’m even more excited after this video! Arepa de choclo all the way! Lo siento mi gente no me gustan los plátanos y no como carne pero me encanta la cultura colombiana.

As a man married to a Colombian woman, they could have picked a stronger Colombian dish than the ceviche. Sorry but it's really not that good compared to Peruvian, Ecuadorian and Mexican ceviches. I honestly wouldn't even call it a ceviche. I mean it's ok but not distinctive enough in my opinion.

Colombia was amazing. Mexico too. Glad to see the love shared. Even to learn the Indigenous and African. Contributions to cuisine in both places was so remarkable.

I love this series. I am a white dude from the south east I've always been fascinated by the variety in Central America cultures and cuisines, really all Spanish cultures. I would love to see you guys do a deep dive on all the more common Hispanic cultures we have in the US. This series was the deciding factor for me in taking up Spanish lessons. Thanks for the work yall put in. Also, shout the new Papah.

OMG I’ve never met anyone who ate rice like I do, with the crema and Tapatio with beans with cheese on the side. I think I have probably the largest collection of Tapatio lids in Alaska. Kids love making craft projects with them.

Nicaraguan food next. Fritanga (with gallopinto, queso frito, chancho, carne y pollo, ensalada nica, tajadas and cacao to drink), nacatamal con pan, milca soda and a cacao, baho or vigoron (hard to decide on one, love them both), quesillo, enchilada nica, and for dessert a slice of 3 leches cake (originated in Nicaragua; 2 or 3 countries claim the same),, and some bunuelos and a pico (sweet bread). Boom, did the work for you guys lol. I suggest " Sabor Nicaragüense" on Western Ave or LA 27 in that same area, there are about 4 or 5 Nica restaurants in one spot near Pico/Union.
