@@pkmntrainerred4247 Fun fact: when he met Samus as a child, she offered him a flower, and in return, he killed the entire colony, making sure to, and taking pleasure in, kill Samus' parents in front of her. There's a manga where it's revealed that he takes the fact Samus survived personally, that's right, he considers the fact he missed a child while wiping out an entire colony to be an insult! So yeah. Psychopath might be too nice a term.

I used to wonder why the Space Pirates didn't do much pirating, then it hit me. When Ridley took over, they weren't just pirates. They were a personality cult for Ridley. This is a violent psychopath that took over a species of dangerous but simple-minded (i.e. stupid) pirates to use as a vehicle for more carnage. It only makes sense that he'd ally himself with the omnicidal Mother Brain. Her goal is Ridley's pastime; death.

K.rool is inbetween Ridley and Ganondorf, despite his goofyness he is insanely delusional to the point of going on a genocide out of sheer hatred. Unlike Bowser, he lacks any respect or motivation. I can't stop listening to this...... this is good enough to be a Disney villain song among the likes of Hellfire and My Lullaby!

I'm remembering Ridley in the origin story manga had a soft spot for cute things...and it didn't make him any less terrifying as he expressed it while watching a burning town and inhaling its smoke. And he ate Samus's mother only moments later. Its showed he can go from a normal person to his more well known self the instant he has a target that's not beneath his pride to give attention to.

The choir is just... hypnotic. The chant of “All scream out their final breath, to the Cunning God of Death” was mesmerizing in a way all too fitting for Ridley. I guess Ridley was just too big to properly fit into Smash Bytes, and needed his own song as such. Now that I've taken the low hanging fruit, gotta say that these lyrics really do capture the energy and fury that Ridley's theme has. Just really drives home exactly why he got the nickname of "Cunning God of Death".

@@spinomania1921 Well Dark Matter does what he does because it is a being of the void. It is his biology. Dimentio at least wanted to create worlds in his place. Ganondorf at least wants to rule, even as Calamity ganon he still reanimates his monsters. Ridley does nothing of the sort. It is not part of his biology, it is sadism in his purest form. While the space pirates goal is "supreme domination", i think it is akin to wiping everyone else out, considering Mother Brain and Ridley are their leaders.

Exactly why it's so perfect as a Ridley voice. This isn't a job for him, a hired hit, or just cleaning up some witnesses or whatever. All that implies a purpose, or justified reason for it. Ridley kills because of the *_RUSH he gets watching the life fade out of another's eyes._*

Yeah, you can still portray psychopathic serial killers really well even in pg-13 movies, Joker from dark knight and Hella from Thor ragnarock are great examples, Ridley would just have to be a whole lot less comical than those two

As someone who has played some Metroid games and fought a variant of Ridley, this seriously rocks

I know I’m a bit late but I love how as the song continues, Ridley sounds more like more aggressive and monster (which he is both physically and metaphorically) A nice touch as he gets more sinister, great songs as always!

@@ocatelix288 Chara didn't wipe out universes, they erased it, killing no one. Besides, the Genocide route in Undertale only involves killing about 100 monsters. Ridley does genocides and wiped out multiple entire planets. I am pretty sure each planet consists of about at least 10 million inhabitants, while Chara kills 100 monsters each reset. Chara will have to reset about a million times to even get a fraction of Ridley's kill count.

Lmao at that video description. Guess this came at the perfect time for you. "Another world is soon to fall, another mark upon the wall." Very dynamic. Something as large and impersonal as the world is compared to just one of many remains of a violent and personal crime. It really paints Ridley's indifference to anything.

I love how Ridley slowly gets crazier and crazier further through the song. You can hear it more towards the end.

Ridley: oh and the koopa family is more on and off, Ganon fails the heinous standard to his own minions, Giygas is tragic and doesn't have a moral agency anymore, Eggman and K Rool are goofy, Wario and Wolf are on and off, and Dark Pit straight up isn't even evil.

This is so awesome! If I was a singer (or alone here in my flat) I would have sung/screamed along! well done! Also, somehow I imagined Kazooie mocking him like "Oh, please, shut the heck up, lizard!" and Banjo is whispering like "Be quiet or else he is going to kill us......." and that made me laugh hard
