ya know fusion is far from nonsensical if you understand the purpose of the Metroid. the chozo found the parasite decided it needs a predator cause it doesn't have one apparently. says if the federation find the planet not only will they try and make it into a weapon any mistake in handling could lead to the death of many many people. also they are afraid if it starts traveling the universe more planets could fall as the parasite absorbs intelligensce. they'ed be mostly unstoppable.

I would love a new Metroid game where they take the baby Metriod DNA from Samus's body and create a clone, but that clone also has partial DNA to Samus and her suits ability to absorb power and they create a bond like a cub to an alpha mother. Then they go on mission together fighting space pirates on a planet that used a corrupted version of Metriod DNA to power everything, meaning Samus needs her little Metriod to unlock doors, vents, etc to get through the labyrinth to fight Mother Brain that is infused with corrupted Metriod DNA meaning her attacks suck the life force and give it back to her making this version the most powerful of all the enemies Samus has ever faced. Her Metroid cub can also absorb the power of fallen enemies to give it to itself and Samus their energy and special abilities. What do you think?

Thank you. It took a little over a decade to get here, but here we are.

I like to think that other m took place at least a few years after super metroid as I feel it would give some credibility as to why samus would have a ptsd attack at seeing Ridley despite having killed him 4-5 times already (I still f*cking hate that scene but I suppose spending a few years without dealing with your worst enemy would cause you to let your guard down)

@The4thSnake I think the X parasite in Metroid fusion is more like The Thing.

The game X, released for the game boy in 1992 is actually canon to Metroid

That's what I don't get. Would the story really be any better if it was Eve Malcovich instead? No, because the issue is how Samus responds to the orders and the nature of the orders themselves, not the physical attributes of the one giving them.

And this is the core problem with Other M. It's not that Samus is taking orders from a man. It's that Samus has to make herself stupid to make the guy giving the orders look smarter. "Oh I'm locked in a killbox and I have the weapon necessary to instantly kill these creatures shooting at me from behind a wall but I won't use it until Adam authorizes me to. Because I became a freelance bounty hunter because I hate thinking for myself even though I left the Galactic Federation specifically because I prefer to think and act for myself."

I have to respectfully disagree with you about Other M. It was not perfect but Other M is not bad as you and the rest like to portrait it, but I guess you just want to be part of the bandwagon. Now for Samus having PTSD, I also disagree with you since Samus having PTSD makes sense. It was Ridley who murders her parents when she was 3 years old, so Samus hate Ridley and the Space Pirates for a good reason. PTSD is not easy to get rid it; it sometimes may last months, weeks, years, or for the rest of your life. Complaining about Samus having PTSD just shows that you don't understand how PTSD work which is an insult for people who suffer from PTSD. Some people who have PTSD will slowly get better, but some will have problems that do not go away, so you can't say that Samus suffering from PTSD make no sense. And the reason that Samus no showing PTSD while facing Ridley in other Metroid games is that she was a silent protagonist and the other Metroid games lack any story structure, so there was no room for anything else on them.

@@The4thSnake Nah! It just a bandwagon since the game has done nothing wrong, and I see a lot of people talking about the same thing about the game. So your argument about the game is not unique it just the same argument as everyone else, so what I get here is that you let others influence your opinions. I see happen on big KZreadrs like you, I mean whenever something is hated by the rest of the people, KZreadrs like you want to hate it too because is the new thing to do. So your opinions on Other M are no unique, so it has not brought anything new to the table. I have played the game and I found nothing bad on it, sure is not perfect but it is a harmless game. So unlike you, I'm not letting popular opinions influence my decisions, after all, I am my own person. So you can accuse me of going against other people's opinions, but I at least can think for myself and I don't need others to do for me.

Prime and the Main Series games turn out to be in seperate continuities.
