Metro Detroit doctor ignores symptoms he had no idea were signs of rare nose cancer

When a local doctor ignored some symptoms, he had no idea those were signs of a rare nose cancer. Luckily, his physician was able to catch it and thanks to a new type of radiation at Beaumont Hospital, he is back treating his patients. Dr. Sammit Sabharwal explained, “I know what that is. I’m not even going to get evidence to figure out if I’m right or not.”

This happen to me. A couple years too late though. I’ve gone through some extensive surgeries of which my nose needed to be removed but it was put back on. I also needed to have radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks. I’m still not okay… If you have chronic migraines please go to an ent.

Cancer of the nasalpharanyx. Maybe the spelling off, I had it age 27. I'm almost 53 now. Years I coped with severe headaches on one side of my head. Severe nosebleeds and hearing loss. I lost a job because of the health issues. Drs didn't know my problem. I were sent to a specialist that diagnosed me. I was in stage 3 r 4. It had spread to lymphnodes in my neck. Chemo & Radiation, I got in remission. There's more to my story. I'm 24yr survivor. I had covid a month ago. Severe nasal drainage on right side. Drainage stopped, but I feel a blockage on that side. I have a Dr appointment Tuesday. I pray all is well. It's been to long for it to come back, unless covid or Paxlovid caused it. I will see🙏

Signs of oral cancer for me were severe headaches on one side of my head, it hurt to comb my hair. Severe nose bleeds everyday all day. Neck pain. I lost my hearing. I endured this for years. Dr's didn't know what was wrong. I tried to work, lost my job. That is what made me determined to find out what was wrong. I were sent to a specialist that diagnosed me, 1997 was the worst year of my life. Thinking I were going to die at age 27 or before 30. I found God because of my illness, He still has me.

thankyou for your experience, now i know that it is possible to live with this type of cancer, what im doing now because i have a lump in my neck, but thats the only symptoms i have and also we saw in the endoscopy that there is a small tumor inside my nose. but both side of my nose is working no blocking, no nosebleed and no headache, i'm fasting right now like 20:4 and dring some natural tea and herbal, and the lump on my neck is going shrink from 2.7cm to 1.5cm right now. so i hope that it will be totally gone forever

My daughter is 13 yrs old, she has had these symptoms for a year now, cant small, blocked nose on left side, runny nose on the other side, we have tried everything nothing works. I hope and pray its not cancer because we live in South Africa and cant afford medical aid, the government hospitals here are terrible, being a third world country.

I had exact same problems, ignored a runny nose for almost a year, first of all told it was a polyp so I didn't push it thought it ok they will just cut it out no problem. Then covid kicked in and everything was put on hold. By the time I was sent for a MRI scan turned out to be cancer. I had surgery on the 02/10 this year, which went better than expected,I recovered really well. Now I'm waiting on proton beam treatment which I'm hoping to start very soon. So please don't ignore symptoms, the sooner you deal with it,better the outcome! Just an update....I'm having a operation on the 26 September 2022 as I found a lump in my neck which turned out to be cancerous. So I'm having my lymph nodes removed....wish me luck guys.)

She's keeping close attention & Oct. 26 I get my nose checked. I'm praying nothing is leading to cancer. I do not enjoy or stay in sun for it too turn red. There has been skin cancer in family. I've got some of the symptoms they report of cancer on the nose. Gods got a purpose in everything, the great physician. Hardest part is waiting.
