I remember being kinda traumatised when i seen that scene in the ghosts level where the ghost kid gets attacked by a nosalis, he screamed "MOMMMY!!!" And then the vision ends. Best post apocalyptic game ever.

This one is much creepier and haunting than Ghost Tunnel to me. That slightly out of tune string makes it so haunting. Both are great though.

Хан был удивительным человеком, да и человеком его сложно было назвать он был похож на мага, но только их не бывает...

The level, the atmosphere, the music. Everything is perfect Just imagine wandering alone in the tunnels, having only an bastard and a duplet, not to mention you are running low on ammo as aways with hundreds of Nosalises around you but they don't know your presence and the same goes for you. I love this game so much

So cold and mysterious... the tunnels are no place for a novice stalker let alone an inexperienced one at that... travel light... travel armed... travel together.

This is haunting.

Эта атмосфера просто каеф, ты идешь по тёмному туннелю и Хан говорит тебе чтобы ты не выключал свет, везде тени мёртвых и из звуков только твои шаги и разговор хана. А эта музыка просто идеально подходит

Yep. Bourbon just dies through his own shady deals with criminals and before you even can realize this as character and player suddenly Khan appears out of nowhere and takes you into one of the most memorable chapters of the game and becomes a even more interesting companion.

Such a conflicting track...the acoustic guitar is so comforting yet it being slightly off tune adds quite the edge to it

I'll never forget the two times I heard this theme in the original 2033 before the redux had even come out, most people know it from the level of the same name. But if you get the 'alternative ending' then it also plays there as you hear Khan's perspective in Artyom's mind one last time. It felt just as impactful there as it did in the earlier level, as though Artyom even considering the idea of showing something so foreign and different to his kind, even after what had happened back at Exhibition mercy was an anomaly, a human one. Something few or no others in his position could still fathom when so close to their original goal of obliterating the enemy at all costs.

I see a new feature on KZread. You can see the most rewinded part of any video. But here I see it on very end. Does it mean no one has rewinded this soundtrack huh? Just to clarify what masterpiece this is.

This still evokes the feeling of nothingness, which after the war and the fallout from the nukes there’s nothing to sing about or make music. Even the guitar still sounds off tuned. Which still makes it haunting.

Awesome Soundtrackes...Hope the movie will be as good as the books and the games!!!

I remember being 8 years old when this game was released, and I played it on console for the very first time. At the time, I had played STALKER SOC and loved the immersive post-apocalyptic soviet type games. Have not played a series that made me feel so in-depth and glued to characters like metro.

It's not anymore *evil* than say, fire

I love how this is just out of tune and off tempo version of one of the main guitar songs of this game. Takes something very well known, something that should make you feel calm, like a peacefull tunnel for Artyom. But you know that something is not right, Artyom also feels it.

MetalWonderWombat man bemerkt in am Anpfang aber da immer mehr komische Sachen kommen (Anomalien) achtet man nicht mehr so auf die Musik

Hm, also sehr gut finde ich n bissl hoch gegriffen, aber gut auf alle Fälle und wenn man ein Fan dystopischer oder post-apokalyptischer Geschichten ist, sollte man sich das definitiv einmal angucken. Den Nachfolger (Metro 2034) fand ich persönlich nicht sooo toll, aber ich bilde mir ein gehört zu haben, dass der Autor an nem weiteren Tel schreibt. Hoffentlich knüpft der, was die Qualität angeht wieder an Metro 2033 an ;)

salz ich Das erste Buch war echt super.Die Welt von Metro ist echt spannend.Das zweite Buch hatte zu viele "Platz-Fűller" ewig lange Abschnitte űber Gedanken der Personen, habs nicht fertig gelesen. Das erste Spiel war atmosphärisch besser, das zweite Spieletechnisch.

Да. На главе "Dead City" как-раз играла эта музыка. Но я также заметил, что эта музыка играет на экране смерти, в оригинальной версии Metro 2033

For me, this song evokes the feeling of nothingness. After the war and the subsequent fallout, there is nothing to sing about, or make music to. Even the guitar is too much for the world of Metro, hence the out of tune string.
