I have to say Mr. Mecc is the that voice of reason and solutions for the black , hip hop culture. The fact that our legends don't make music can kill the art form. We need them to find and give their greatness regardless if the industry or the masses like it. We need and have to control the culture. Let the young ones love that we have longevity so they will/can have it too. If not we're doing them a disservice.

MC Rell! Method man is really hip hop Such a relief cause these interviews got me seeing a lot of older artists weren’t really hip hop, they just listened to the popular songs, then started rapping for money No real love for the art

Just going through the comments before I watch the video. Rell from Philly? Like many others at the time I first thought it was Rakim when I heard him. Dope songs. Still got his first album and the two 12" singles from it. "Into The Future" with Cutmaster DC on the scratches - that's my shizzz!

When Meth said MC Rell and Rumpletilskinz, that's a man who knows his hip-hop. Though Rell sounded Rakim at that time, he wasn't cony though. As far as Rumpletilskinz, I still bump "Attitudes" to this day! That track is ridiculously hard! Peace to the gods Method Man, Math Hoffa and Mecca aka Mr. Mecc!

That sound that keeps happening in the background (smoke alarm or whatever) sounds like the first sound you hear in "Big Dogs" by Meth and Red... Tical 2000 album. Or am I trippin'? Either way that beat is stuck in my head. I'm not mad about it though.
