In his defense, The Wire came out a long time ago and his character was killed off before the series ended. I agree with him that The Wire is a beautiful piece of fiction that was inspired by true events. For those who are interested, the theme for each season was as follows: Season 1: The drug trade and the initiation of the wire investigation Season 2: The docks and corruption within the funding of the labor force Season 3: Politics Season 4: The broken education system Season 5: Journalism and how certain stories end up on the first page.

For me it’s The Wire, Snowfall, Boardwalk Empire, and Breaking Bad. Hands down the best true to form crime shows ever. Power Raising Kanan has to get to then end before I can think of adding that one. It’s the best true to form show in the Power universe. Oh and Weeds. Weeds is set up like a comedy and seems to exaggerate but it’s based on a true woman and true events.

@@kentalks2818 I've watched it 2 times, it's brilliant and you're right, My friends and close people just ignore it when I recommend the show, fun fact, they also ignore the wire and I get so mad , I've watched the wire for like 5 times and close folks to me know I've watched a lot of stuff and they know I consider the wire the greatest ever not just show but maybe even piece of art, and they still won't watch it lol. Btw maybe it's just because I don't live and I've never been in the states. Different cultures, what can I say. But I know people like me all around the world appreciate those great shows, no matter the cultural differences.
