It was PAINFUL watching you guys discuss the song and knowing that the version you were talking about was the Puff Daddy remix version with an entire Mary J Blige verse in the song and the more "upbeat" version of the track. Hope you will go back and have a listen sometime, especially because THAT version has a Biggie Smalls vocal in the track also and Jane would FLIP hearing that part since that she's such a fan. You can DEFINITELY tell why that version got so high on the charts AND won the Grammy, it's MUCH more of a pop song. I also know all the lyrics and am a huge fan of this song... Jane, to your point about Ex-factor and this song, R&B / neo-soul isn't very mainstream. I think it's easier for a rap song to climb the billboard charts. But I was pretty surprised it got to #3 in the 90s.
