This was the biggest Hip-Hop/R&B collar at the time. That might be the remix beat and vocals over the original video. Then Nas feat. Lauryn Hill “If I Ruled the World” dropped and was another huge collab.

I have to be honest, I had been purposely watching reacts from white ppl trying out hip hop just to see your thoughts and if you see this from our point of view in Hope's it would make you see us in a way in contrast to how the media displays us. Thankfully, I have been impressed with a few reacts and have subscribed to them. But, you my man hold a great twist. Your sense of non judgemental listening is amazing. And your empathy and understanding are real. Best react channel and this is my first time watching. I know I'll be binge watching your reacts. Keep going bro!

Mary J Blige is a legend. She is so amazing. Have you heard fellow Wu Tang member Ghostface Killah’s song called All That I Got Is You? It features Mary J Blige. In my humble opinion, it’s a much better song that this. And that is saying a lot because this Method Man song right here is legendary. If you haven’t heard it, I highly suggest you check it out.

Staytus, you make a good point. Meth and Mary is, in my opinion, the purest Hip Hop Love song ever because its adult and real, from a guys prospective. Its cross cultural. Its hard to believe that there would be a person who can't relate regardless of social class. Ghost and Mary, is real and great on a WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL! And unless its someone who grew up with a silver spoon, I don't know how the emotions of 'All that I got is you' doesn't hit home. Personally, I hate debating those 2 songs because the impact of both is incredible. Metal head, if you would considered doing another Mary J/rap combo song, consider that one. I, like most could see how All I Need hit an emotional connection with you and how you knew it would with your wife. All that I got is You, might have her in tears. Its an incredible song.

@@edgarordaz6054 I believe Method Man didn't want to sound "soft" at the time. I believe the Meth wrote this to his wife and didn't want to release the song at all but was talked into releasing this version instead but Diddy, Puff Daddy at the time, re-released the other version which was the original version? Idk I don't remember the whole story lol I think Puffy was also trying to push MJB more into the public too. But MJB's "Sweet Thang" will always be my jam!!!

"I gotta imagine this was very very popular" quite an understatement, but you're absolutely right. I imagine this was "our song" for every 8th grade couple in 1995 (or maybe just me?). This song was played ennnndlessly at every middle school graduation party/pool party/whatever else that summer. One of those timeless songs that takes you right back to a super specific time in your life. Meth never disappoints on record or on screen, but this is beyond special. After hearing him on 36 Chambers I could never imagine him doing a freakin duet, but this is perfection. If you don't know the backstory, he fought the idea tooth and nail until Lyor Cohen acquiesced to his demand for either 50k or a car (accounts differ). Forever indebted to Lyor's shameless bribery !

Sadly, u are right. I was in the military in the early 2000s. I saw many things as I traveled the world. The only thing that was reported on the news was fear mongering, who to fight, and who to vote 4. Not once did I see the news report the average citizen, going out his or her way to help another person in need. You would think it never happens. I've seen news shows focus on asking their host about someone's dirty history, while the guest is trying to focus on the humanitarian efforts of his or her church and community.
