I saw these guys when I was 17, I'm 54 now. The fact that these guys can still deliver to this day is a testament to their dedication. I get that there are heavier, faster more technically advance bands, but none can match Metallica's longevity

This was when they were on their 40s, now listen Spit Out The Bone when they were on their 50s. Lars is going to do 60 next year and just yesterday they opened up their show in Argentina with Whiplash and Ride The Lightning, two of the most thrashy songs ever, made when they were less then 20.
