Rob has really grown on me, I really appreciate what he brings to Metallica now. I do admit that I was a little jaded after Jason left, and in my mind no one could replace him. But Rob has done an amazing job bringing his own style into Metallica.

Jason's vocals were truly amazing and in that regard Robert can't truly replace him. However, Robert's Bass playing is truly outstanding. He's an amazing Bassist. Anyone with an ear would have to agree with that. I know that you do, but many just can't.

No one ever says it, but Kirk is the glue that keeps shit together. Without Kirk, Metallica would have fallen apart long ago. He is always cool/level headed, never wants the spotlight, and is never arrogant or pushy with his ideas. Not to mention he aged gracefully as hell.

He really is getting worse about everything on the drums in his old age! LOL, He wasn’t fabulous on the first album, but kept getting better... peaked around Black Album, was actually great on the Load and Reload albums... and I’m not convinced its all him and not a lot of pro tools on everything after that! LOL! The drums were just too good on Death Magnetic and the new record. But the china replacing the ride takes the cake! Still love him though, Lars is just cool!

Troy Burnett he peaked on death magnetic, black album is plain and boring drumming, it works with the riffs and all but the drums are boring as fuck, on death magnetic his double bass and his rythmic abilities top all the other albums i.m.o Edit: they actually used pro tools and drum computers on AJFA, how do you think Dyers Eve ever came to be
