@@AstralHiGH actually these were the fifth member meet and greets which you win so you don't pay (I won one of these for London 2017). There is the "Hardwired" experience package where you pay to meet them and that's the one James does attend.

NatalieC I looked at the Hardwired experience for Chile (Tickets are still on sale) and James is not attending the meet and greet there as it lists who will attend.

Lars is one of the coolest guy in the industry.

Had the pleasure to meet the band in 1988 after Hammersmith Odeon gig. Really, really nice people and thoroughly decent. Treasure my signed copy of ...And Justice For All.

Say what you want, but Lars remembers everything.

Oh the marriage proposal one made me tear up. So fun to watch these meet and greets.

It would be difficult to not act like an idiot when meeting Metallica. I see Lars has his greeting technique as he asks everyone where they are from. Instead of any awkwardness it gets the short conversation going.

I wish I could meet metallica at least once.

People love to rag on Lars but he’s one of the nicest when it comes to meeting fans. He knows who’s paying his bills lol. But he’s a natural when it comes to face time with the fans. James sometimes looks stuck but I’m sure it’s because he’s had many many awkward fan experiences.

Lars is awesome with the fans. It's cool to see he knows who got him to where he is

I'm guessing its like a hundred bucks more on top of the ticket you already paid a boat load of money for, for a meet and greet. Kind of takes away from the excitement but you got a story for life.

Well I have a bad news for you my friend. James doesn't do Meet n Greets anymore since 2011 when he was attacked a group of paparazzi in Uruguay by hurling stones at them for taking photos of him while he was having an ice cream with his son.

Guy at 6:38 if you’ve never heard the outlaw torn live you haven’t been keeping up with Metallica all these years. They’ve played that song several times live. S&M 1999, Fillmore 2011. They’ve played that song quite a bit. How could this guy never heard it live before?

Yeah i read somewhere on KZread or wherever that some girls freaked out with him and wouldn't stop hugging him and kissing him and asking him to sign their tits and generally being too raunchy...and his wife got really upset and so he decided to stop the meet and greets. Also some girls just had too many emotional breakdowns when meeting him and he was sick of the awkwardness. Some girls would just cry and cry and make everything weird before the show.

I love metallica n lars was my favorite when I started listening to them about 1988. But he is very rude outside of meet n greets. I know numerous people who ran into him and he wasn't friendly. I know people like to b left alone but can atleast fake it

This is the fifth member meet and greets which are free. You enter to win on the website for the show you are attending. I'm in this video (the red haired girl talking to Kirk near the beginning 🙈😂). There is also a paid meet n greet where you meet all 4 of them (James doesn't do the fifth member ones anymore 😔)and my understanding is you have an individual photo with all 4 of them taken, get to meet all 4 separately and get to spend probably a bit longer chatting to them, they sign your stuff and you also get a signed setlist. It was an amazing experience and whilst I'm a bit sad I didn't get to meet James; Kirk, Lars and Rob are great guys!
