@2:19 is still and always has been my favorite part of this song. That clean part has always been able to raise every hair on my arms and neck to the point it almost feels like a high. It's like... Through all the mania and shredding and brutal riffing comes this somberness, pure emotion of near hopelessness and despair conveyed through wood and metal. Fucking stellar cover, absolutely 15/10

807 / 5.000 Resultados de tradução hello from brazil! stranger thinbgs did a stupid cover. they don't even know the real history of the band or the lyrics. just imitates part of the instrumental without caring about the soul or the context. maybe they don't even know that the master is drugs and the puppet is james himself. It's a plastic world today that throws away the essence and is left only with the noise. and these apartment kids today who have tea with their grandma instead of beer with their friends in the real world think they're rascals and because they played a heavy old-fashioned sound they understand the soul of what solidified metal and really did it in the past . and what the hardships of drugs and the weight of life do... playing a heavy rif without giving context or understanding things is nothing. just pop marketing on really important topics. drugs were my master in the past too....

Like the tab for this exact version of how he plays it this is how I aspire to play it

For real, the tabs I learned make the intro seem so much more difficult. I can play everything except the fast solo. I would gladly relearn this song with these tabs if I could find them Edit: actually I think I just can't get the sound right and that's my problem. I can't figure out how all the notes are quite so crisp. I've tweaked all settings on my Amp and distortion petal. Idk, maybe I just suck, lol

You don’t suck it’s just a crazy ass song, there are a lot of Hetfield purist’s out there who tab it the same exact way as he plays it and others who tab it by ear and/or tab it so it makes it more fluid and straightforward on your guitar

As far as learning the solos speed wise once you get the notes down 💯 using a metronome helped me out immensely

I been practicing guitar scratching off the accumulated rust of not playing for 3 years, this song has been a great new project to start getting back into it! So if you don't mind I'll be using this video as a guide.
your fingers are on fire!!! Great player mate!!!
