@@edgarsifuentes3248 yes, he has the tattoo of J.C. on his right forearm. I am confident James will fully come back to him very shortly. His mother was a very devout Christian, and she is calling to him. There will be no fade to black for real, for Metallica. The dawn of the light of Yah will shine on all of them! Very soon he will write the song, the God who redeemed me!

fudge me... just that line had me in tears... This song both lifts me up, but stabs my heart... Currently struggling with a massive depression, lost my job because of it... and just generally feeling like hammered poo. Life, it seems, will fade away Drifting further, every day Getting lost within myself Nothing matters, no one else I have lost the will to live Simply nothing more to give There is nothing more for me Need the end to set me free Things not what they used to be Missing one inside of me Deathly loss, this can't be real I cannot stand this hell I feel Emptiness is filling me To the point of agony Growing darkness, taking dawn I was me, but now he's gone No one but me Can save myself But it's too late Now I can't think Think why I should even try Yesterday seems as though It never existed Death greets me warm Now I will just say goodbye Bye...

It's easy forget when heavy metal songs like this one are so epic that they're actually about giving in and suicide and that songs like this are often spawned by real life internal pain and anguish. Props to James for speaking up about his internal struggles, especially in front of thousands of people. If he can, you can, and if the people you say it to downplay it or dismiss it, you're talking to the wrong people. If you struggle inside, you are not alone 🤘

Dahora cara! Queria que fosse tocada lá no Morumbi, mas pude sentir pelo seu relato que cada show do metallica é um turbilhão de emoções.
Eu tenho 51 anos e ouço esta música desde os meus 14 anos
I'm sitting with tears streaming down my face knowing the pain this song causes for some. Metallica is still letting it be known that you are not alone!
Amazing proformance, and watching papa Hitfield's speech about his struggles made me tear up. Hit like if you can't imgaine a world without Metallica!
Fade to Black reminds me of my father, may he rest in peace. He passed away in 2016 after struggling for five years with partial body paralysis and high degrees of depression. For everyone out there “if you struggle inside, you are not alone”.

Legendary Performance, I've watched this a thousand times. The fans singing the riff, the fans chanting Die...when James asked them to sign the chorus, I get goosebumps. All respect to the awesome fans.

I really like how during the end solo it shows the point of view as if you had just jumped off a city building in the middle of the night. Always what I imagined during that part of the song.

Kirk is such an amazing player. Every time they perform fade to black, he changes the solo. They probably run through how he's going to play it, but even so, its quite amazing that he can come up with such changes. Good work guys!

the rhythm section doesn't change, kirk knows what key its in, blazes away and trys to keep some of the melodic principles of the original...the first section and the last section are usually similar but the middle section he improvises, he went wild on this one!

Not afraid to admit I cried big man tears during this one live. Can't wait to do it again in August. There is simply nothing better in life than watching these gentlemen live. I could do it every night!
This is the greatest performance of a song I’ve ever heard thank you
These kind of songs, at the crossroads of depression and hope, can only be written by artists in their younger ages, when emotions are dynamic. Glad they did.
This song is one of my favorite in this album. The riffs are so smooth, they give me goosebumps every time I hear this song. It's just a pure masterpiece.

crazy to think that they wrote something like this at 20-21 years old!
i was there, and it was easily one of the best days of my life. I still cry when i rewatch James saying "If you struggle inside, you are not alone". Turn out to be my space of peace when i'm feel depressed.

I was there and today is exactly one year since this performance, I can't describe the feeling I had listening to a song that helped me go through many moments more easily. Thank God I was able to see my favorite band Metallica who I've been listening to all my life, basically since their first album and I'm glad they're still full of energy and with new album and songs even though James said, "feeling a little bit insecure, like I’m an old guy, can’t play anymore"they're amazing on the new M72 tour I would like them to come to Brazil again and feel his energy and the energy of the Metallica family, incredible feeling to listen them and all together sing along with them🤟
Let's Go !!! I found Metallica when I was 14, I'm now 50 and still listening.

I’m willing to bet that this song has saved more lives than any other song ever written.
Flawless! James’ voice is SO PERFECT right now Metallica should record a new album RIGHT NOW!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love how subtle but poignant the visuals on the screens are. It's basically what someone who just jumped from the top of a building would see. The fact that it gets faster as they get to the final solo makes it even more chilling. Also, I wonder if James is the one remixing those new intros for the songs, they're amazing, I think he mention in an interview he's the one doing them.
Everytime i hear that riff at 5:40 i get goosebumps
Saw and heard this song in cinema yesterday. I startet instant with crying because the lyrics fit with what I’m sadly feeling at the moment. I know it sounds weird but only to this song I can let the emotions which are trapped inside me go. On a strange way this song let’s keep me going even through I am thinking I can’t go anymore. Thank you James, Lars, Kirk and Robert for being there!

I have listened to them most of my life, i was in high school when they released Kill Em All. Their pre black album stuff was without a doubt the best metal ever recorded. Imo every Metallica album is the best at what it wanted to be. Load/Reload is better than all of it's post grunge contemporaries, and the Black Album was the best heavy metal album of 1991. St. Anger... isn't that bad but it doesn't fit my analogy.
