I personally think that inamorata is pretty beautiful and one of their best songs in recent years

Honestly it’s damn near perfect but I feel like it should have been at least 8 maybe 9 minutes long but man those harmonies and James voice in the bridge is beautifully dark and melancholic 👌🏻

@@tombscoot9095 at first i thought the same about the length but after a few more listens i kinda feel confronted about it, on the one hand it's freaking 11 minutes long, on the other it's so good i don't want it end because those harmonies are so damn good

@@mararalaral3450 FR the build up to those harmonies are really well done imo. I’m just saying I feel like the last two minutes feel dragged out but I sorta give some forgiveness

The only one i really liked overall after first listen besides maybe lux
Mentally, I’m still seated in the theater having watched the album in its entirety. Truly, I am where time stands still.

The vocal part during the “chorus” is really good but then cuts to short and I’m like what the heck lol. I do like the breakdown in the middle simple and heavy

My favorite one as of now ! Along the title track.
The middle section of Inamorata harmonies and melodies are really good. This is the best part of the album. There are pieces and parts of songs that I really dig but the album overall it seems like it’s missing some of that magic.

Amazing album review. The tones are pretty killer. Gotta get em all!
I definately agree that the album is. In my opinion, it's one of their.
Glad you reviewed it man

I have 2 songs that I go like… meh. But I like the album. Other downside is the lack of more melody stuff. Can I call it that. I don’t know. Like a day that never comes. Fade to black Bleeding me ect That is a miss for me. But still. Beter then I expected it to be.

My problem with Metallica in the last 20 years is that their songs have great *parts*, but the song in its entirety is just not good or best case scenario, bland. For example, inamorata’s mid section scratches that melodious itch you’re talking about, but the vocal delivery in the verses is too polished and the lyrics are downright cheesy.
Would love to know how to make IRs!
After just one listen I think this is a distinct step up from Hardwired. Maybe it doesn't peak as high (Moth/Spit) but it's way more consistent, more interesting, and good lord Hetfields vocals, and plenty of cool ass grooves and riffs. Im digging it a lot. More songs on this are keepers for me than HTSD.

I love the wake up fuck!
Yeah, I think that too haha
Many great riffs were spoiled by Kirk's cheap bluesy solos he smacked onto each one. How many times we gotta hear that cheap double stop pentatonic bullshit. Hearing those harmonies in Inamorata made me wish each song had some depth in the lead playing
Are the impulse responses actual guitar tones, or just speaker cabs? How does one use 'em? Thanks!

A wise fate man from youtube once told me. Most if the tone is in the speaker :)
Excuse me for my ignorance, but what is an Impulse Response (IR) Pack?
I’m just wondering, can anyone tell me the difference between hardwired tone and 72 seasons tone?
It’s all pretty good imo. Only 2 meh songs for me are screaming suicide and chasing light
As a guitar player the songs and riffs are fun. 🤟
Just finished the album it’s eh. However imo the last three songs on the album is pretty awesome. I’m aware some people don’t care for room of mirrors but to me it’s the stand out track of the album and too far gone is great. Now for Inamorata it’s so SO close to being perfect but the last three minutes kind dragged going from a 10/10 song to a 9/10. For the rest of the album it has good moments in songs but really feels awkward in song structure and repetitive parts that don’t need repeating. Some songs are just flat out boring like sleepwalk my life away. Very disappointing with that song. I will say the best song off the first half is definitely You must burn! Really dig the riffs but once I feel some parts feel awkwardly structured but still interesting I really liked that vocal part in the bridge that reminds me of a hybrid of ghost, Alice In Chains and reload specifically where the wild things are. Truth be told the second half is better than the first. Although chasing light and darkness had a son is the weakest songs on the second half imo. Overall 6/10 not bad but not really good either.
I came here thinking that this time it would be a genuine review. I was tricked again. And this time I didn't think it was an April fools joke 😂😅

the hard rock gramps-tallica is alright, as a Metalhead, i'll just stick w/the new Overkill.
The album has some great moments, but they're buried inside 5-7min long songs of just samey mid tempo chugging and Het on autopilot singing.
If Inamorata on justice? That would be fun. All other not worth your time.
Inamorata middle section is the best thing in the album…and it’s the simplest 🤷🏻♂️ And let’s mention the melody from GC was not…was not! Used in the album like bro wtf

100% agree with this! The middle section of Inamorata harmonies and melodies are really good.
hmm interesting opinion...
Has anybody told you that you kinda look like heath ledger
I have nothing good to say about this album; ‘Hardwired…’ was far better, more diverse and creative. This one have zero creativity, all the song are almost the same…Lars only uses snare rolls(a lot!!)…the riffs are boring…and Kirk’s solos ufff!!, what can I say…same solo over and over, bluesy tricks, same patterns, same use of the wah wah. All songs finish in the same way…I’m not a Metallica hater at all, but I just can’t support something I don’t like
You Must Burn! is heavier as f***

personal opinion: trivial album, lars only knows two ways to play fast or slow, endless rolls. tediously arranged songs... hardwired in comparison is a masterpiece of technique and inspiration... I just hope this stuff is hardwired outtakes on which they have not really worked seriously

The album sucks so much. Listening at 1.25 did make it better though. But it’s just a mess. Only Inamorata and like 3 others were worth it.

Good to read your opinion. For me it's a very good album. Few listens later there are 6-7 very good songs for me. If darkness had a son sounds so MUCH better live, a fckn banger. Shadows follow it's their best song since death magnetic and the more I listen I like it more. There are 3-4 very hard songs. So, good for your opinion.
