Metalhead reacts to anime metal (Gyroaxia - Manifesto)

Do I prefer men or women? I think that's quite a personal question but when it comes to Bang Dream bands I'm sure I have a favorite now...

Fun fact, this is the first time Jin (Nayuta aka main vocalist) performed live ever so it’s pretty amazing how well he did. Of the other songs, I’d recommend Revolution (personal favorite) and Scatter. Jin’s duet with Argonavis in Starting Over is also pretty good though it’s not metal per say but has great vocals.

Aina Aiba from Roselia doesn't play an instrument either, but her movements are more subtle compared to Gyroaxia presumably because the aesthetic of Roselia is more gothic and elegant, less dynamic and punkish

His singing voice as Nayuta is like this because he took into account that his character has asthma.

This was GYROAXIA's 1st Live Performance which was held 1 year ago. Now, their instruments and vocals are becoming stronger. But sadly, due to Covid, they only had Online Lives these past months and videos are not allowed to publish. If you're interested in their songs, you can listen them on Spotify, KZread, AmazonMusic, etc. And if you're not into rap that much, I recommend to try listening "Revolution" and "Ignition".

Gyroaxia also has other songs that don’t have rapping parts or less, so I totally recommend checking them out.

A song with I think less rap from gryoaxia would be scatter the vocalist also did a duet with the band Argonavis with a song called starting over if you ever decide to check out more songs from the male side ! :>

Super late here but I was actually at this show! The whole atmosphere changed the moment GYROAXIA was revealed and Ogasawara Jin walked on stage, it gave me shivers before absolutely blowing everyone away with their stage presence, it was nuts!!! They haven't performed this song yet but HELLO from their 1st album ONE is probably my current favourite song of theirs, it's just so stunning and technical and full of raw energy, I love it 🔥

I highly suggest REVOLUTION and EGOIST by GYROAXIA, it showcases more of Jin's prowess as a vocalist! And if you're interested to check more from the same franchise, Zakuro (probably the most metal they've done so far) and Histoire by Fantôme Iris (Visual Kei concept)!

For me, the rap part is what makes GYROAXIA unique than other bands

RONDO from D4DJ just released the MV for their song Calendula. It’s a studio MV that also has the English translations in the subtitles. Please check it out along with their other songs.

A song with less rap would be Scatter or maybe Ignition, but I don't think there are live versions on YT yet :/

If you enjoy Gyroaxia I absolutely would recommend their song Revolution. It really captures that rawness you liked in Manifesto and it kind of shows a glimpse of Nayuta’s backstory

You should check out Fantôme Iris! They are a visual kei band and have a unique vampire concept. I guess you could compare them to Roselia, but I personally like their style more. Unfortunately, contrary to Gyroaxia, only the voice actor for the vocalist performs, as the rest don't play their instruments. However, the backing band cosplays the characters and it's really fun to watch! I recommend their debut single Gin no Yuri. The live performance is not available on KZread yet though...

This was GYROAXIA's first song (and the Ideo you watched was their first live performance, I was there and honestly it was amazing, the way the captured the audience was... really something incredible) since then they released many more songs, each with a unique vibe, sound and emotion attached to it (they performed an online solo live, called IGNITION, in September)

honestly i'm a gyroaxia fan and i have to agree with you on the rapping parts! that was exactly my reaction to them too initially! as a GYROAXIA fan, i personally would recommend EGOIST as i feel it's one of the more harder hitting songs (closer to metal? but again this is instrumental wise, not the vocals too) but since you liked RAISE A SUILEN i would recommend their song GETTING HIGH (though it definitely isn't on the metal side) however, these songs have not been officially released yet and have only been played in their lives so far :< i hope you check it out when they come out though!

AAside by Argonavis is really good especially the intro and the vocalists range is impeccable

Gyroaxia is the most metal part in BanG Dream and I love them ❤️ Kenta (leader and guitarist with the glasses) is my favorite.

Just like the rest of the people here, I highly HIGHLY suggest that you listen to their song Revolution! It's not on KZread but it is on spotify or iTunes It's such a more vocal centered song and is probably the best song out of Gyroaxia's discography. It's a much more emotional song since its about the experience of the character that the vocalist is portraying-a child of a well known musician who left him because he wasn't up to his father's standard because the child suffered from asthma. That's also the reason why the vocalist makes his voice raspy because its probably because he wants to show the the character has asthma.
