Before kpop (mostly bts tho) I was really into metal/rock (I still like it, im just too busy and obsessed with bts to listen to other music oops) but when Dionysus came on I was shoooooook

Halsey has more lines in the Spotify version, or you can just look up the audio version. She has less lines in the MV cause that’ll be the version BTS performs when she’s not with them.

RM said that this is their love letter to the fans, that he hopes when the ARMY hears it they (we) will feel their love. If you are an ARMY, reading the lyrics is definitely like reading a love letter since it gives references to their past that only a fan who understands their journey will understand. This is actually true for the whole of the album. According to the press conference they had earlier today, the boys said that the whole album was made for the fans. Not to break records (although it broke several) or for any achievement, but for fans to listen, reminisce, and enjoy. It's a nod to their past and a thank you which is why it is so much lighter than their previous albums.

y’all definitely need to check out Dionysus, I would love to hear your opinions on the song. J-Hope wrote the main melody for it and it definitely made me want to head-bang.

Yes, Dionysus and Fake Love extended version. Edit: this is more of a hip hop track but Outro:Tear is a strong BTS track from the rapline.

What I love about this song is that it’s a song for ARMYs. They’re saying that we’ve helped them get to where they are and that they want to know all about us. I love that. I also love how Halsey harmonized in Korean with them and danced with them too. That was amazing. I can’t wait to see her perform with them at the Billboard Music Awards. Another cool thing about the MV is that it’s like a tribute to Singing In The Rain. That’s so dope. Overall this song is very cheerful and has a good summertime vibe. The MV and the audio version are different so you can hear more of Halsey singing in the audio version.

Exactly, it's a beautiful love letter to Army. What i also like about it is, the love described here is a deeper kind of love which i think is relatable even to non fans. It highlights the little things that make love special rather than focusing on grand gestures and promises. It is a sincere, untainted yet strong kind of love, and not the "moment kind of love". It saddens me when ppl tend to overlook this msg and dismiss it as a generic pop song bec the tone and vid is "too happy".

You guys HAVE to react to Dionysus by BTS! You guys will love it!

If you’re a film lover you’ll recognize all the references from “Singing In the Rain”. This song is very much Pop, but I think it’s because the oldest member will be serving his military service next year and they want to do happy and fun songs for their new series. I mean as an ARMY, we don’t talk about it much but we know it’s coming. 😔

The thing about bts is they really have different genres for their songs soo.. But, yeah.. you should try to check the ones with rock vibes songs of bts.. Also, thank you for reacting ☺

They met and befriended Halsey back in 2017 said by RM during interview and finally collabed with her for their comeback “Boy With Luv” and they will perform “Boy With Luv” with her on BBMAs May 1st at 8pm EST. It’s also connection to their 2014 “Boy in Luv” storyline. Halsey’s bias is RM and they even do their cute secret handshake while sitting on the moving couch in the MV. She’s the first female international artist to literally be singing and dancing in person along with BTS for the first time in MV and on stage at BBMAs....One can only pray hard that Billboard focuses more on the stage and their performance less on the audience since it’s not about them!

I love your reactions because you also say when you DON'T like something, or that you prefer a certain song over another. I watch so many k-pop reactors and a lot of them seem to just love EVERYTHING, especially when it comes to BTS. It doesn't feel genuine. I like BTS and I think this is a cute song, but not their best nor my favorite of their songs. Anyway, my point is, thanks for being genuine (without being mean!), keep it up guys! Also, congrats on the sponsorship, I wish I could get one, haha!

I swear I'm not judging you guys, but I think it's hilarious when people say a song sounds "too happy" lol!! My metalhead friend said the exact same thing, and I'm just ???so confused??? It's hard for me to wrap my head around why someone would dislike a song for sounding happy since for me happy songs make me feel happy... and isn't that a good thing? I guess happy songs must make you guys feel... not happy, which is super counter intuitive. Personally, I like the happy music as much as the emotional angsty stuff like Fake Love. Don't get me wrong though, everyone can have their own opinion even if I don't get it haha. On a related note though, I will say this. Sometimes, I think people subconsciously associate better artistry with negative emotions. Maybe it comes from the whole "crazy artistic genius" narrative, but I think that's a dangerous trap to fall into. Great art can come from emotional struggles, but if that's a prerequisite to have someone's music taken seriously it's encouraging a really dangerous mindset. I'm not saying that's what's happening here, but it's something I've been thinking about.

I think the idea of 'too happy' is tied more to the fact that musically it gets quite bland. The same happy vibe throughout the whole song without really much of a break or a changeup, even in the rap verses or the bridge, makes it less interesting to listen to, even though the happy groove of course comes through and generates a smile. The best happy music to me is music that doesn't start off at its happiest and continue that way throughout the whole track, but takes the listener on more of a journey and paints pictures connecting happiness as an emotion to the specifics in the lyrics or instrumentation. To have moments of sadness or anger that then lead back into triumph and joy. That sorta thing. There's a few instances in BTS's music where they tend to hang too long on an idea and the music related to it, rather than tweaking things around to keep it interesting. I'm Fine, for instance, the repetition of the chorus at the end is meant to be a triumphant climax, but the fact the beat is so generic and there isn't really anything added to the chorus makes it drag, noticeably so the more one listens to it. Love Yourself: Answer similarly to Boy With Luv is a very happy song but it's so melodically similar throughout it starts to fall a bit flat. This isn't to say that all music is better when it's based on emotional trauma or that music should only be taken seriously when it's from a dark place, far from it - I'm simply making the point that I feel BTS aren't as strong musically when they are conveying this type of vibe, and could keep the message of the songs but deliver them in a more interesting way musically. I think that feeling is often expressed as 'this song is too happy'.

@@oliverhughes610 i think BTS shines more when they try to incorporate a narrative in their song."Boy with luv" is a beautiful song, i can sense its sincerity and i love it but let's say put it next to "Tomorrow" or "Sea", you can actually see the difference. I also like it more when they try to come up with a happy vibe for a sad lyric and vice versa. I think they are pros in that dept.

Please react to DKDKTV explanation of Boy with Love by a Korean so you can understand the MV better. Also Halsey did great, album version she has more lines, and sings in Kon-glish which is BIG thing. Normally when a western artist collab with Kpop artist, the have to do an all ENG songs or the only do ENG lines, but Halsey took extra time to learn chorus in Korean, and she doesn't dance in her MV, yet she flew all was to SK to learn choreography. This collab is more organic, version Nicki Minaj was very edit in, plus she didn't even bothered to read lyrics see what song was about and ended rapping some non sence, reason why ARMY didn't accept the collab and refused to request it on radio (since was the only version that Columbia released) the collab with Designer also was bad because his lyrics had nothing to do with song theme, and the edit out J HOPE who had the best lines in Mic Drop.

In terms of collabing with international artists, it’s really up to the korean entertainment companies on what they can and can not do within the collaboration with their kpop artists! i’m sure they have to sign agreement contracts and etc to be able to do collaborations with them!

oh yeah forgot my rant.. SHAME on bighit for their copyright claims on reactors, or whatever they did that caused you to take down videos. they were a no-nothing company and made it big with bts due to the online community. I like a lot of kpop because it's just my type of music but seriously have problems with a lot of aspects of korean society which is evident in the behavior of some of the big kpop companies. and no I don't just mean these copyright issues... more serious moral issues which I'm sure some older kpop followers can agree with but the majority of teenage fans are too brainwashed to acknowledge.

Doesn't uploading this video in the music category affect your view count? What I understood is that videos on the music category have to be played from beginning to end to count and in a higher quality.
