I’m obsessed with Mitch’s mid-lower range! He’s known for those crazy high notes and I think they like to throw those in as much as possible for the shock factor but I swear his mid range is like butter, I wish they spotlighted those more

Yes, omg! I'm not the biggest really-low-Mitch fan (there are exceptions like his part in Take On Me which is * chefs kiss * and I certainly don't dislike it, I just prefer his other ranges), but his mid-range just has such an addicting and smooth quality to it and I feel like he can play with a bit more texture there as well. One of my favorite songs they've done is Finesse, sorely because I absolutely love how he sounds in it.

I appreciate Kevin more every year. I love all the members, but I think the only truly irreplaceable one might be Kevin. His creative percussion adds so much to PTX songs.

❤❤❤❤❤ Love your reaction. One thing I love about PTX is that their entire catalog is fantastic. Each song has a twist, the harmonies, the way they make it their own., something different. You might like seeing some of their older stuff. Papaoutai, Perfume Medley, Gangnam Style, Problem, Thrift Shop, Can’t Hold Us. Originals Sing, Love Again, Happy Now, Be My Eyes, and Thank You is an absolutely marvelous song. Newer songs New RulesxAre You That Somebody, Perfect, Shallow, and Over The River are fun. Thanks for your reaction to these talented people.

This is one of my favorite arrangements!! Scott is taking the highs, and Mitch uses his natural low voice! Kirsten's lalalas are perfect executed! ❤❤❤

Kinda unrelated, but I think you would really enjoy some of their behind the scenes stuff like PTXperiance. Also, if you want to hear Scott hit some great highs, there's a song that he did with his friend Rozzi called "Lose Us." Mitch famously doesn't really strain for most of his high notes. In part because of his natural voice, in part because of training, and in part because I'm pretty sure he tries to keep his voice healthy by staying in a healthy range. Honestly, though, outside of "hitting really high notes", he, probably more impressively, has a near seamless transition from chest to mix to head (unless you are actively looking for it, it can be hard to spot). In general he just has impressive consistency among his ranges. He also has developed his head voice a lot over the years, if you look back at their older stuff and compare it to the newer, you can tell the difference. He used to use more falsetto than he does now. And really that's not the only place he has improved his voice. I say this because a lot of people like to talk about how talented he is or how stunning his natural voice is, but he really has put in an effort and he's still improving it. In fact Pentatonix as a whole are constantly improving. It's really admirable, honestly. (Also if you want to hear Mitch sing lower, he does so in a lot of his solo work.)

I've NEVER heard Mitch strain his voice. In fact, I don't believe we've ever heard his falsetto - his head voice is so high that he has no need to go beyond it.

Kevin amazes me every time i see him. They had a Christmas tour last year, which I was lucky enough to attend, and Kevin did a duo with Matt on Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. I swear to you. I've never seen anything so awesome come out of two people like that. I have a video of it on my channel if you wanna check it out!

Not really? I came to Pentatonix during the pandemic, when Matt was already part of the group. Avi is a great vocalist, and I was touched by how much Pentatonix seemed to mean to him during The Sing-Off but looking back from my 2020 starting viewpoint, I don't find him essential to Pentatonix. (And that was pretty bold, friend, saying that you speak for "we all.")

You know that Kevin graduated from Yale with a pre-med major in 2011, just before joining Pentatonix to appear on _"The Sing-Off,"_ right? Did you also know that he'd already been accepted to Yale Medical School? Kevin's talents are off the chart, and not just musically; he's a true polymath. If you aren't familiar with that term, polymaths are geniuses is more than one area. They're the people geniuses look at and say, "Boy, I wish my mind were that good!" Leonardo daVinci was a polymath. So were Isaac Asimov, and Richard Feynman. And so is Kevin Olusola. But to me, the most telling thing about Kevin is the fact that after they won _"The Sing-Off"_ and then lost that first recording contract, Kevin DIDN'T say, "That's it. I'm outta here. I can still go to medical school." It would have been the sensible thing to do, but it would have killed the dream; it would have ended Pentatonix, and Kevin couldn't do that to people he loved.

To give you an idea of Scott's range: PTX has a cover of Ariane Grande's Problem. You might expect that Kirstie, or even Mitch, would be the lead vocalist. Nope - it's Scott, high notes and all! And Mitch raps!
