That boss looks like something out of a castlevania game. It reminds me a lot of Legion.

The final boss is straight out of a Contra game.

Can we just appreciate how good the song during Lugus' fight is?

He becomes even easier since you can strafe and jump over his bullets. Way easier than the OG games

I always found it weird how this game only had English voice acting despite never having an overseas release. ESPECIALLY coming from SNK who tends to avoid English voice acting in their games (this and Maximum Impact being the only real exceptions).

Basically, this game has a lock-on mechanic, in which you'll have to use everytime (even though some guns will require manual aiming, like the rocket launcher). The weapons you pick will be in your inventory, instead of automatically changing and discarding your current weapon, and this game has a sniper rifle. Same goes for the grenades, and one of the grenade types is the smoke bomb. You can also customize your tank as you collect parts, being able to change the guns, the cannon, and even the threads, so you can make your tank faster or slower. Oh, and you'll get the Monolith grenade after you beat the game. It basically makes a highly-damaging monolith fall on the target

The thing is, this game is not bad, in fact, it's fun. But it just feels weird and dosent have the charm of the original 2D ones

No funny mechanism (fat chicken), or funny sprites (idling or almost falling), no charming character

3:38 talk about a "Surprise Attack"! Darn I would have fell for that one badly myself! That's some good reflexes you pulled off on that one!

9:32 damn! Howl's Moving Castle fell in evil hands! The 3D could never compare to the spritework of the main series in any case, but here's it's not even stylish, just mostly cheap (the castle's legs clip horribly through objects). It's clear just from watching that it doesn't handle always smoothly. Allen is a braindead boss. To think it has potential, several great bosses (the castle again, the desert ship), great music.

Man I just luv this channel. You get to know some good old classic games you've never heard from. Like this one. Great video.

This game has a weird feeling that brings back my childhood. I've never finished this game back then because my 8-year-old self finds this game difficult lmao. Seeing it now brings back weird but cozy memories of my younger self

Fio sounds like she was voiced by the va of the servbots..

That final boss is like Carla Radames from Resident Evil 6 or Eveline from 7

I have to admit, model, graphics and voice acting was bad, but gameplay and soundtrack was unique

@@pixelatedpug2174 what the hell you talking about? the gameplay IS good. you can store your weapon in inventory just like gta unlike the 2d version you have to discarding old weapon and change it to new. the art is good tho and the 3d model is not bad for the game that originaly a pixel. and if that not good enough for you now You can also customize your tank as you collect parts, being able to change the guns, the cannon, and even the threads, so you can make your tank faster or slower.

Tips for defeating Allen, when he goes on full rush at you, just dodge it and melee him a lot save ammo on later missions.

Metal slug would be very epic if still being Made in 3D

A for effort on trying to ride the 3D train SNK But this game falls on the simple: Isn't good as the 2D one.

Rockethero Tbh, I also felt the same way about this game. Maybe I’m just in the minority about some games that everyone seems to hate. I will say this though, platforming is definitely not this game’s strong suit.

Shadowserg If only this was actually how METAL SLUG DEFENSE was played. Cuz it would be fun to see your own soldiers go into combat, even though METAL SLUG DEFENSE got a lot of negative reviews, I find there to be a lack of Strategy games, or RTS games where your soldiers actually do something to stay alive.

Metal Slug 3D is the rarest game The gameplay, language and their voice actor sucks but the boss and the soundtrack are awesome

I like Metal Slug 3D and I want to see it remade. And now we await the comments.

Why is it your one got final mission cutscenes? Mine don't have at all, the clips at 15:06 and 21:28 they don't seem to show when I play the game. Any ideas why?

I used to love this game as a kid and I can't believe my dad accidently bought me a Japanese version of Metal slug 3D and my PS2 was region free! Dang this game bring me so many back memories, But I don't think I like it anymore cause this game looks jerky and gameplay doesn't feel too much fun

Foxy The Pirate Well apperently the lugus is a giant monster that "perserves" the history of the current generation and the proceeds to destroy it. I believe the liu monster is the one from the generation before thus why it was all consumed and then exploded
