Finally. English subtitles. I can finally understand the lore that Oguma narrates about the alatore and his ancient being. Let alone the nightmare fuel lore of Mission 5 and the final mission. I loved this game so much.

The Metal Slug art style pairs with the PS2's graphics quite well. Dang good looking for sure.

13:55 to 14:11 Probably one of the best fourth wall break in the history of video games.

Honestly, the reason it doesn't look as good is because it's not as overly detailed and animated like the 2D sprites. If only they could do it again now, hell I'll take any new mainline game.

I played this on my PS2 in Europe. The thing that i liked the most was able to see the world in person and each charachter had it's own location you would play at.

Metal Slug 3D may not be perfect but its cutscenes sure are interesting. I like how SNK Playmore, as they were known back then, tried to create a serious Metal Slug story with depth, like they did with the KOF: Maximum Impact series. This game allowed the main characters to let their personalities shine, even General Morden who acts like a comical villain a la Dr. Eggman. Furthermore, I'm surprised that this game was never officially localised despite having full English voice acting. I honestly think this could've done well alongside KOF: Maximum Impact 2 which I really enjoyed.

I remember I recognized Cermait Ogma right away knewing he was a boss in Metal Slug 4 XD P.S: the tower leap of faith was a pain in the ass for the final mission, I don't know how many times I died from it HAHAHA

This is the most cheesiest thing I've ever seen. It's so bad but so funny. If they ever make another 3D Metal Slug game (highly doubt it would happen), they better have fluent animation and a cover system. Or just stick to 2D.

To be fair, the cinematography and music in the opening sequence was pretty cool. =) SNK Playmore often had cool cinematic cutscenes during their PS2 era.
