@@str1897 Let me elaborate. It's my own opinion that any good musician (guitarist) only needs a decent amp with an equally decent head. Of course a few pedals but NEVER fully dependent on them. Honestly, if you can't make heads bob and bang without saturating your sound with electronic effects then you need more practice. But it's SUPER easy to be a troll in the comment section. 😀

@ That's literally the most boomer thing iv'e ever heard in my life. The whole point of this nu-metal/progressive music is solely based rhythmically. The use of effects is brilliant to reach different depths. It's completely ignorant for you to say that these guys need more practice and then shower it with *oh its my opinion*

  • @dev4965

@ I'm pretty sure the only electronic effects used in Loathe are heavy distortion and pitch effects which are also solely used with *wait wait wait for it* A TON OF OTHER ROCK AND METAL BANDS!

@ So what you're saying is that if you use a lot of effects you're a bad guitarist and it's an inherently bad song. Gotcha. I guess Status Quo are the best band in the world! As previously stated, being ignorant and then saying "it's my opinion" doesn't make it less ignorant. I also enjoy the "it's SUPER easy to be a troll in the comment section" after how you commented "That shit sucked", beautiful irony.

But once they actually play a song, it's crazy to see the crowd's reaction after the first song and after their set. I can't wait to see them play in July, gonna mosh and scream the lyrics

They're using a baritone guitar for a heavier sound. Its a weird in-between where its too low to be a regular guitar but to high to be a bass. Its built like a guitar but has a capability for a lot of low end along a lot of unique sounds. Its served as like a secret weapon for many bands to achieve certain sounds and moods. The Cure, a big influence for Deftones' more ambient sounds, used it a lot on their biggest albums. Deftones new bassist actually started using it when Koi No Yokan came out. Its cool to hear it to achieve a brutal heavy sound. Edit: They use both a regular bass and the baritone guitar. Extra low end, extra chug
