I'm so glad you were able to upload this one. The Drones album is highly overlooked and underrated but it contains some of their best tracks to date and it's just an interesting concept, which works very well with Muse's themes of manipulation, defying control and revolution. My favourites are Psycho, Reapers, The Handler, Aftermath and The Globalist.

I also feel T2L is heavily underrated too, especially with songs like Supremacy, Survival, Animals, liquid state) and Unsustainable in terms of heaviness with some amazing electronic/softer songs too (like big freeze, follow me, explorers, madness, isolated system and save me) and panic station is a bop. Plus the concept of entropy and thermodynamics is also incredibly interesting imo.

The bass line is what makes this one of my top 10 Muse songs. Also great guitar solo and vocals. The lyric video is kind of cool because they show close ups of their hands during the solo.

Its an awesome track and might be my favorite on Drones, and I do see where it maybe could be on absolution in some ways, but it think it would stick out like a saw thumb on Absolution, or black holes, maybe on The 2nd Law though. The production style, and especially that dirty bass riff (ok, its probably Matt but even so) which wasn't quite as punchy or processed in the era of absolution - it would almost sound like a different band, still awesome though.

@@Edgar_Gutierritoz by most musers, in every muse group im in the song is loved and as i say considered one of their best songs from the last 4 albums, there are a few others but its definitely up there, also i did say generally, others like yourself might prefer different songs but if you took it as a vote the handler would be very high, there is a thing called march madness where around 5000 muse fans vote for the best muse song and the handler came out top from the last 4 albums

Lost count of how long I've been into Muse, but for me, knowing they are anti-establishment, makes their lyrics resonate so much with me. I love every single album they have done, its so easy to get lost in their songs. Not many reactors mention the lyrics though. Not sure if you have done Hysteria yet, but you should add it to the list if you havent. :D

Great video. I really like this song for the simple main guitar riff and the more complex harmonies in the bridge part. It was epic hearing it live back in 2015.

That's one of my favorite parts of this song is also the way the drums create a different feel over the same guitar part, the guitar riff is the same for over 90 seconds, the drums make it feel different

the bridge is actually not their creation, its literally just an outtake of Bachs classical piece "Toccata and Fugue" in guitar form. Pretty meta way of including a classical piece of music

So glad you liked this one, and great commentary at the end about the song structure. I'm enjoying these reactions in that, while I've listened to some of these songs many times, your spotting details I don't notice or take for granted. Not always the case but often musicians do the best reaction channels because they know what they are on about from a technical/music theory stand point, and that comes across in your reactions too.

Love this song!

Definitely would recommend Defector as well. It's cheesier than Reapers and The Handler but it's super gritty and a ton of fun

Loving all the Muse. Good time to get caught up with the new album coming out. Are you a fan of prog stuff? If so, I highly recommend checking out some Thank You Scientist. Great 7 piece prog band from New Jersey. Their guitarist has been called this generation's Petrucci.
