I developed one nuke and then I think in that line when snake was cover in blood for the next Mission

I’ll always remember the goosebumps I felt hearing this song for the first time at E3 2013 when she sang “Let me suffer now” and we see Venom carry Miller into the sunset and cutting to “Snake is Back!” So fucking cool.

The true greatness of this song and the game is in idea that was perfectly transformed into song lyrics and game plot: Sins of our parents (and everyone else's) will haunt us as long as we will fight them. No war can be stoped by winning. We have to accept the truth, make conclusions and forgive us all. Any other actions or attempts to "fix it" will lead us to new sins that will be inherited by the next generation.

Looking back on it there were a few signs pointing toward the twist in the game. the references to things like imitations and knock offs, how Volgin reacted once he finally got his hands on us, the beginning of the game where we create a character for Big boss's surgery, the transition from the character creation screen back into the game, Ishmael saying your talking to yourself when asked who he is, and even the little details like how venom snake moves compared to big boss. Venom might fully believe he's the original until the end, but his body seems to move just a bit different than someone who has only ever trained to kill. He's slightly kinder in his body language. Which is a neat little detail.

+Shane Pjw I'm not so sure. I don't think Naked Snake ever truly died. Nor do I think Big Boss was ever a dark side in himself. Venom Snake became the dark side of Big Boss. Naked Snake remained the Legend/light side of Big Boss. We do see the Fall of Big Boss. By our own hands, as Venom Snake, Big Boss is tainted by bloodshed and revenge, becoming the ruthless warlord in the eyes of the World. We do not see the struggle of Big Boss, as the Legend strives against the Patriots, reclaiming FOX HOUND in his efforts. Only to lose it when the gamble of Operation Intrude N313 to make the Patriots reveal their hand as puppet masters fails due to Solid Snake. To be certain, Naked Snake lost a good deal of his idealism following the fall of MSF. But I don't think he stopped being a Hero. Otherwise, his good actions in Zanzibarland, forgiving those who rebelled against Venom, helping child soldiers and such, wouldn't make sense. And his words to Snake then make much more sense. "The survivor will carry on the fight." against the Patriots.

+Dog God Basically, there was a rebellion/guerrilla force against Big Boss/Venom Snake in Outer Heaven, which helped Solid Snake during his mission. It was mostly about Big Boss/Venom Snake being a brutal warlord that they felt needed to be overthrown/defeated. They were promptly abandoned on site once the TX-55 was dealt with and then Outer Heaven was bombed into non-existence. Big Boss/Naked Snake got everyone out before the bombardment came, loyalists and rebels/guerrilla alike. We know that since a former Outer Heaven rebel (who had given Snake information and help during Intrude N313) actually tells Solid Snake in Zanzibarland about how the West abandoned them, but Big Boss/Naked Snake came back for them and restored their faith and loyalty in him. Keep in mind that, as far as anyone was concerned, there was only one Big Boss. So the change in methods (and survival from multiple missiles to the face) surprised many, but Big Boss' charisma pulled it off. Mind, there's also the fact that Zanzibarland was doing fuck all in terms of aggression against nearby polities. It was just turtling up, even their Metal Gears were mostly defensive in engineering. Solid Snake was sent in solely because it came out that they were making Metal Gears (officially) and that the leader of Zanzibarland might be Big Boss (the real reason for the Patriots). Not that Snake and the general public knew of the second reason.

hahah multiple missles to the face. No wonder this Snake that we were using was so "Quiet". He even needed Kaz to say what he was supposed to say. The "Kept you waiting huh". so Venom Snake "sort of" ruined Naked Snake's actual image, a form of revenge? Officially making Metal Gears, now I understand what Jeremyjahns meant about Venom Snake threating the world instead of just a deterrent. thanks for the info man. All I've really played is the big boss route, I don't know about Solid's route, fucking sad.

+Dog God I wouldn't say "revenge" from Venom. Just a difference in temperament. Venom Snake is demonstrably more ruthless and brutal than the real Big Boss. However, it might have been Master Miller's revenge. By making sure that Venom continued being ruthless and violent to ruin Big Boss's legend as a hero and ensure he'd go down in History as a brutal warlord. Miller was definitively petty and revenge obsessed enough to go that far.

Venom Snake's punch and Donna Burke's "WHOOAAA-HOOOOO" @ 4:10-4:17 was synced so perfectly!!! Awesome Video!!!!! Here's to hoping you are able to pull of something like this for Quiet's Theme.

'Words that kill Would you speak them to me' Reminds me of Quiet-Venom story. The one thing I like about MGSV soundtrack is they made many references to game's plot in song's lyrics. Its more than just game soundtrack, but story-driven game soundtrack. Great work!

It is beautifull too, that no words "quiet" kind of "thing", Venom and Quiet had. The scene of those two playful splashing under the rain at the base was a tender, sexy, beautifull, sweet, moment. And probably more. And I must say that Akiro Honda is a f*ing BOSS, and Ludwig Forsell too; the music, original compsitions specially, in this game, are that good.

"Make no mistake, our native tongue is our true fatherland." My fatherland - my truth was stolen from me. And so was my past. All that's left is the future. And mine is revenge. On those who'd leech off the words of their fellow man. This is what I learned from the major. And then it hit me. It was he who should feel my wrath. He and the code he chose as basis for control. Language codes, information codes - beamed all around us - genetic codes spanning history. By controlling the codes, Cipher... Zero intends to unify the world. i just cried man... the song tells so much burden to be this venom snake (or big boss or whatever he is), his action, his toughts, the dilema for being hero or a demon, even when you see the Alpha teoric comments and the replies makes me feel more sympathy for him... man THIS GAME,THIS SONG AND THIS CLIP are THE BEST.

"I'm big boss and so is you". What a masterpiece ending to this legendary series, it truly was for me the greatest game series of all time, been playing it since MGS1 up to now :' ). MGSV True ending is for the MGS fans that player the series all their lives with big boss telling us your big boss too, like we were big boss all along cuz we seen his story and guided him through it all along. Hideo Kojima is truly a genius game developer to have thought of this.

+Jarr Yes my friend Thank for upload i search through town and ask gypsy pirate seller but noone have this song and it make me sad so i go to house and tell mother my search fail so she says "go on amerikanski your tubes and look for song" and i boot up pentium 2 and search for song and there it is! Is pretty good! I like instrumental good, kojima play violin like fiddle. And i like sing, i search for lady who sing on the googles and she is very mama. I have many lust for her.

I don't think solidus would've been old enough to be Venom. Just judging from Eli I'm sure solidus is around the same age.

William Carrasco Still though, much better than the whole "you were actually him all along!!" stunt. It would've ACTUALLY given a bigger role to Solidus, which is so much less relevant to the whole MGS storyline than what he's supposed to be. Hell, he's the perfect clone of Big Boss, don't you think he would've had a much better role than just being the antagonist of MGS 2?

gamer9974 nah it would be worse if they did do that, fans would be outraged because it wouldn't be consistent with the MG story. At least venom snake somewhat makes sense. I would've preferred if we were playing as the real Big Boss the entire time.
