Paz is one of those genuinely fascinating MGS characters but you only get to understand it once you get the true ending and listen to all her audio tapes. Paz was in an impossible situation by the end of that game and her genuine feelings for Boss, Kaz and everyone else were tearing her apart as she was forced to turn against them. After learning all the lore behind the song and how much you had been through with Paz throughout the game it was pretty sad and it still fit in my opinion.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker's ending. (Spoils, _OBVIOUSLY._) A legendary soldier by the name of Snake has created the ultimate army of mercenaries in which he did with the help of many allies, including a little girl named Paz. He then finds out this little girl is actually an adult who works for CIPHER in which then steals the nuclear-capable bipedal mech that Snake and his allies created. James Robbins meh. If you understood this songs status in the games Story, it has a bit more impact. It's supposed to be Paz singing, and this was the dig she was supposed to sing on Peace Day, as shown in the Paz Diary Tapes, her loyalty becomes wavering, fearing what Cipher would do to her if she defied them, but doesn't want to go through with the plan of hi-jacking ZEKE, which is why she attempted to sabotage it, before getting spotted. But yeah, she wanted to as if until AFTER Peace Day, but she had no choice...

Friendly reminder that this exists because the greatest warrior of WW2 never thought to leave a damn note in writing.

All she wanted was a few more days so she could sing this on the Mother Base's Day of Peace...

(thinking in terms of 1-season anime here, 13 or 26 episodes, since that's a lot of what I've watched... mostly specifically because I search for shorter ones with less padding. One of the famous long runners would probably exceed all the Metal Gear cutscenes in total)

AlexanderRM1000 Well, I'm not really sure how long all the Metal Gear Solid cutscenes and codecs are in total but I guess long. Around 30 hours maybe? A 12 episode anime with episodes of 25 minutes would be 5 hours long. An aime with around 50 episodes of 25 minutes would be something like 21 hours long. So yeah, it would probably just be a portion of the game's complete story.

In 2010 I never dreamed of fighting a giant robot in a vídeo game with a jpop song on the background, and I loved it. Kojima is a crazy genius for daring to put someting like that in the game. I also tought no one would do something like that ever again and i was right, until 2020 arrived. Those who played the misión 2-10 from 13 sentinels aegis rim would know what I mean.

Spoilers It's sad when you think about it Snake left everyone Kaz lost his old life, arm, leg, is partially blind, his comrades and his best friend Chico died in a helicopter Huey became a traitor to the team Strangelove died by her husband I still have no idea what happened to Paz And I have no clue where the fuck Amanda and Cecile went. This is my favourite MGS game but what happens after to all these characters just makes me want to cry. And don't get me started on Quiet.

+Stefan Mirzay actually Kaz got disabled at the same time Venom Snake and Big Boss were awaken. During those years he was working as a gun-for hire , as he was prior to forming MSF with Snake. He lost his arm, leg and got partially blind after a fight with the Parasite enhanced soldiers (the Skill unit) in Afghanistan.

+REChronic54 When you say hate for Paz, is this on account of her actions in Peace Walker (i.e. being a villain) or the stuff in that more recent game (being a sympathetic and helpless victim)? Personally- I haven't played any of the games or read much of the fanbase stuff, but from reading the plot summary and watching a couple videos I thought the traitor thing sounded really cool, but then reading about the later stuff it sounded terrible. Paz as an evil scheming traitor is way cooler and more interesting.

It has been 10 years already...And I still can't calm this phantom pain of mine. When you was first debut in Peace Walker, I didn't know you would end up to be the most tragic heroine of the whole series. RIP Paz

She wasn't a heroine though. Paz was an antagonist who ended up suffering a horrific and tragic fate. Paz was a sympathetic villain at the end, but hardly a heroine.

This song is super packed with feelings, it's agitated, catchy and many other things, I still sings this whenever I hear it, gotta love Metal Gear franchise.

Nothing screams more “METAL GEAR SOLID” than Big Boss bench pressing Metal Gear Zeke and Paz getting mad because of the unlikeliness of this even being possible.

Of course only japanese media would portray something like a 40 year old legendary soldier fighting a mecha piloted by a blonde petite girl while this plays.

In this battle I felt like I was listening an anime opening while I was fighting versus the Zeke

This song is really just so sad when you finally beat Peace walker and listen to all the tapes. Just as she was going to sing this song with everyone in MSF, everything blew up in her face with the plan from Cypher. Despite all her emotions and feelings for MSF that made her feel at peace with the world.... she still carried out her mission even though it meant giving up a happy life :'(
