This game for the PSP had a somewhat ahead-of-its-time development approach that truly pushed the handheld system to its limits and took advantage of it in every way possible. This attitude is also seen with the fictional technology of the Metal Gear universe. In this way, Peace Walker as a game product itself was a powerful representation of Metal Gear Solid. This is one reason I consider this to be in of the best games in this series.

This might have been the best fight in the series. Sahalanthropus has nothing on the Peace Walker battle (and...let's face it he was a lot easier). For the first time in the series the nuke was GOING TO BE FIRED. That added so much tension to the fight itself.

Tbh is not difficulty, PW is just more tedious because it takes no damage unless you have really upgraded your equipment and some of her attacks is RNG if you evade or not, that's why Zeke is a way better designed boss.

I'm SO glad I've gotten into this game series in the past year. My first game in the series was Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which I found to be one of the greatest action games of all time! However, it didn't quite satisfy my Metal Gear experience so I decided to play all the essential Metal Gear Solid titles in chronological order starting with MGS3 and that game turned up to be the best thing I've EVER played! Having finally gotten to this game, this song speaks to me a WHOLE lot more than when I first heard it. Listening to it now, I feel like crying man tears simply because of how much of a powerful impression the series has left on me so far. Thanks to Kojima for such an amazing game with an amazing story!

Thing is, I only had the HD Collection at the time and, since it lacks MGS1, I had no choice but to start with MGS3 since, story wise, it doesn't pick up off of anything. Pretty soon, though, I'm gonna try MGS1 in the form of Twin Snakes.

You do have a point. Playing Big Boss' story first has, indeed, ruined some aspects of Solid Snake's story for me. It's kind of like watching the Star Wars prequels BEFORE the originals. In a way, though, it's helped me keep up to date on the lore of the series, but still, starting with MGS1 (or Twin Snakes) might've been a better option for me.

"Now do you remember who you are? What you are meant to do? I cheated death thanks to you, and thanks to you I left my mark. You have too, you've written your own history. You're your own man. I'll always remember the first time I fought it and it got to 5 seconds to launch, peace walker shaking, the music kicked up right at the last 20 seconds perfectly and everyone was freaking out over the radio. No game has EVER made me actually feel legitimate adrenaline, except for this fight with the perfect timing.

Kojima and the people who made this game are literal gods Making a game this good on a PSP is just, unreal. Still, I wish it would get a remake on MGS5 engine

The boss battle with Peace Walker was by far and wide the most intense final fight in MG history (which REALLY says something) and all the while, this triumphant theme blazed in your ears, urging you forward. Just. Awesome.

This theme is like that one tune you've had in your head but you couldn't quite put it together. It's like knowing how it's going to sound in advance, and then when it finally hits? Glorious.

Love this song so much, one of the best themes in gaming history ^_^! Battleing a huge goddamn robot with this in the backround was awesome. I hope this song makes return in MGSV.

MGS 3 has pretty straight forward explanation... Yes, the exposition dumb can be a little heavy handed, but it's clear she defected because she was to infiltrate Volgin's group, but after the nuclear explosion, the US had to retaliate and assassinate them, and as to maintain the cover up, The Boss had to die too. There's more to it, but it's basically that.

How can people dislike this ?! Are they like "I hate this music so I'll go on this video to dislike it because I don't have anything else to do" ?

Well, yeah, that's what the dislike button is for, idiot. Denying people the right to express dislike of something is called censorship, and that is a generally shitty thing. Some people don't like what you like, get over it :) (and btw I love this song, I'm talking about other people!)

That's useless, I hate alot of things that's not a reason I'm going on every songs I don't like on KZread to dislike them. That's nothing to do with censorship, this is just ridiculous.

@@Kayn_The_Shadow_Reaper MSF is dead, because diamond dogs lack a postal service, the ability to craft a handheld minigun, anti tank rifles, co-op weapons, don't incorporate combat unit volunteers by BB (Big Boss) persuading them to join their army. Diamond dogs ain't MSF.

Impressive and epic. IMO, this is one of the best themes ever written for a final boss. So good that we can listen to it even in MGS5, MGO and Smash Bros.

Yeah! When this played, I actually felt important while playing against Metal Gear in Peace Walker. I felt like the entire world depended on me to save it, like I'm this guy who's about to stop the apocalypse from taking place.

I still jam to this in the current day so epic of a song. One of my top workout songs

despite when peace walker was released, playing it makes you feel like you've missed out on some of the best bits of metal gear, i frickin' love this game!!!

Remember playing this game on PSP and it was fucking difficult. Couldn't finish it before my beloved PSP died.
