This game's environment has left such a huge impression on me. I still hear these sounds in my head from time to time. Hell, I often even have dreams of being in Snake's position during the events of the game.

I always loved the foreboding feeling of this area even after the boss battle. As if the jungle itself was watching Snake at every turn. Thank you for this.

In reality strange sounds could be from bigfoots or reptillian humanoids or other creepy creatures,my mother countered one in our village surrounded by forest in Belarus,Minsk region.The fear she experienced was the biggest in her life.

@@scoty3434 Hmm,you know,Im sure there are enough strange forests with crazy creatures all over formal Soviet Union,I guess you should check the one that is located in Ural mountains and Baikal lake.Its the most mysterious place in Russia,people seen enough ufo's and bigfoots there.One of the most famous Lizard beings thou is seen in the caves near Rostov,at the place called Kobyakovo-Gorodishche. earth-chronicles.ru/news/2013-06-08-45157 The city of Voronezh is also famous by ufo sightings.Also forest area of Pskov,I believe,if you read old texts was apparently full of Lizard beings who attacked and ate people there.
