So true, you can't bottle up that kind of nostalgia, the essence of mgs1 is a finite thing

@Jake Folk I was a teen when this game came out and it gave me a love of walking and driving through desolate areas with Heavy snow that still exists to this day. The vibes are unmatched…

@Jake Folk well, mine is much less magical of a memory but still impactful nonetheless. My first experience with it was actually renting it from Blockbuster for the weekend and playing it over a friends after school. I couldn’t believe how cinematic and engaging the experience was; it’s sucked me in and I was hooked for the weekend. I didn’t beat it that weekend but would later when I received the game as a Bday/Christmas present (December Bday). Since I lived in MD at the time we rarely saw snow til after New Years but after I finished the game, whenever it would snow I would remember Sniper Wolf and that theme at the end “The Best is Yet to Come”. I still play that on repeat during quiet drives through the snow to this day. Definitely an impactful game. Hideo Kojima is a… Wizard.

@Jake Folk that sounds like a dope time. Did you end up going the military route?

I know they had to include the dialogue in case you didn’t grab the rope… but I always laughed when he goes, “It’s a long way down, if only I had a rope… I should be able to use that rope I got.”

I'm just glad we got to go back to Shadow Mosses at all. I loved that section. From what I remember you fight the wolf boss at the Comm Towers? But I guess you can't get to the top of them again. I mean they were messed up by a Hind D so...

@@AtmosphericGaming from what i heard story wise right after mgs1 the patriots send cleen up crew killed the rest of the genome soldiers removed all the cameras and sabotaged some sections including the elevator from the sectors. Removed Nukes and their stuff and stole all of most the data and information about this place that and pined on solids activites made FIB most wanted list only sucker punch him from the including what really happend, it explains why their no famas assault rifles but i did find ah M4 silencer, few bullet holes indeed indicate ah few firefights did tok place!
