Nice. Cool MIDI processors is definitely a lacking product space. Oberheim did a bunch 35 years ago, but they are rare and expensive nowadays. Some sort of interesting chord processor or maybe organic arpeggios could be cool in the future maybe?

Please create a demo video that shows how to properly connect. I see more than Midi din ports so I do not understand.. Also, how do you properly connect hardware that is able to create multisamples using Metaconformer in Combiner mode

Can someone please explain what it was doing with the A4? I get that it can be used to play multiple monophonic midi synths polyphonically, but shouldn't the Keystep already be able to play the A4 polyphonically withouth the metcon?

keystep is just a midi keyboard. It can send message about note you play. All polyphony routing is going somewhere else.

@@persimmonmangos7298 technically it’s a question not about keystep but about a4 polyphony capabilities. Yes, it can share its voices across one midi channel like it is 4 voice poly synth. But idea of metcon is to combine different mono timbres. So without loss of generality I used a4 in case of 4 independent synths.

Сколько инструментов могут выступать мастером в этой связке? Потому, что условно дигитакт и кейстеп оба могут быть удобным источником миди сообщений. И я правильно понял, что он превращает монофоник в полифонию? И будут ли они продаваться в России? Спасибо

This function is unused in release firmware. In future will be released additional modes allows to receive digital triggers using these inputs.

It looks like demo model has jack but the images on the Soma site have no jacks (for Ornament inputs)...does the final version have those jacks or will that be a separate box? @@vadjuse

blokas is like workshop, metcon is like midi swiss army knife. there are situations and people require complete stand-alone solution. Lots of people find process of pipeline design is complex. They just want simple solution which can be simply changed on the go. Also midihub patches are completely static and if you want to change a single bit of patch data you have to do it on your computer. It’s distracting.

who wrote the write up description chat GTP? looks like an april fools product video. "breaking the barrier of the one- dimensional universe of notes and creating a multi-dimensional universe of parametric chords"

I envy your smooth brain. It’s easy to visualize the MIDI note range as one-dimension (X), with modulations occupying other dimensions (Y,Z,♈️,♏️, etc.)

I find it funny that a company with no MIDI connectors in the Pulsar, Lyra, Terra, Senna or anything else now presents itself as the MIDI saviour. I would buy this from Torso Instruments or 1010, with a track record of great MIDI implementation and user friendly design, but not from a somewhat esoteric CV monger. 😕

soma has different authors and directions of development. On my channel there are some demos of organismic groovebox fully midi controllable which will be announced soon.
