Bad experiences with police throughout my life but was never involved in serious stuff that would have Tony and his colleagues after me thank god.. my dislike for the police certainly ain't against Tony and his unit and can honestly say I feel for him... what a tough job that must have been. If you run around with shooters then you have to accept these kind of guys will be on your case and so they should be, hats off to you Tony never thought ad say that about q copper👍 respect
Heard Tony's story before. Legend. This will be an epic podcast guys! Cheers Dodge. 👍💪❤️
Disgraceful that he even had to face a murder charge. Shows how much of a joke this country has become.

Up there with the best podcasts. Gripping story telling. Congrats Dodge, letting the stories flow really allowed us to be there in the moment.
Not sure why this doesn’t have as many views as others but this was a great pod, I’m a Brit and love listening to this format of podcast which there is plenty of in the US but, I have to say, Dodge you’re doing a brilliant job of getting British stories out there. Huge respect
its not often i am glued to every minute of a podcast like this one .
Great interview Dodge 👏👏👏👏👌
Great interview Dodge, keep it up! 👍🏼
These podcasts just keep getting better Dodge, nice one!
So thankful to those who put themselves in harms way to keep us safe.
The Harry Roberts song went through Dodges head when he said his name 😂.

Hi Dodge, another great podcast, well done

Good afternoon, fella. Another very interesting video. All the best, mate. God bless.💪❤️💎👍
Very interesting podcast, absolutely glued to every detail of this and his story on that case is crazy. Done his job and he got such unnecessary stick. Credit to tony

Great conversation. It looks like he should never have gone under that civil judge. To carry an MP5 has to come with serious consequences if you act outside of ROE. This man was doing his job. Thank you for your service Tony. Hope you gave a part 2 in you
Loved this podcast , it demonstrates clearly how we need the police and what a dangerous profession policing is … many thanks to the “ good” ones ..
That's an hour and 3/4 which has just flown by, excellent podcast.
What a guy and a brilliant interview
Hi dodge... fantastic episode...these guys have a very difficult job to do.
Wow 🤩 Thanks guys that’s this evening sorted 🇬🇧👍👍❤️
This dude seems straight up. Great interview.
My mate bought me his book years ago, good story good podcast👍
Amazing radio voice!
It’s refreshing to here this kind of story form the other side. The press love to blame the Police and make out the person shot was innocent and murdered. From a blue to a blue, huge respect to Tony and those who choose to carry.
Wow Dodge great podcast mate top bloke
Nice cast ...you still ain't sorted those microphone bangs out though have you?. Try putting some dampening between the boom elbow and the table maybe?
Very interesting podcast having to take home your actions from just doing a job that could an can potentially change your life. Respect 🙏 to him
Thanks Dodge, Reminded me of the 70/80s in Northern Ireland this, the decision when you can and can’t shoot, this case and the facts surrounding it I think he may have delayed a little longer pulling the trigger looking back however he will never admit that as he would of been found guilty by some out there. Thanks Dodge another classic interview by you and your team. 😊

Thanks for the transparency. I feel your pain to a lesser extent. Mine ended my career, although I was acquitted ..... looking at years inside .... you start to question yourself. i lived across the park in Northolt, my sister was across the street in an opposit balcony, we were up there watching it happen.
I was in a court case for the first time video evidence was used in a court of law, in Scotland anyway. My interpretation, recollection of the incident was not what was on the footage but it still proved my innocence in the end.
Cracking story
Unfortunately lessons don’t appear to have been learned since his time. I’m amazed they are able to keep recruiting and that cops sense of duty still pushes them to volunteer. After hearing his tale there is no way I’d ever do that job or encourage another to do it either.

"Seventeen civilian witnesses on the tube carriage said they heard no warning. Some police said the same." Jean Charles De Menezez was executed by the UK military, not the police and using bullets police do not use and shot seven times with at least 5, 6, 7 seconds between each shot. The so-called police shooter/patsy(obviously willing) was moved and do your own research.
Mark wasnt shot in hackney he was shot in Tottenham

Didnt he say hed shot 5 people? What about the other three. While i have no sympathy with drug dealers and gangsters, Im wondering 8f this guy is a bit trigger happy.
Any kids thinking of getting into gangs and crime, remember if you carry a knife or gun, you cant complain if you get those weapons used on you. best way is to not get involved at all find something you are good at a skill where you can make money legitimately a trade like joiner plumber etc or even online business and you can live a decent life without looking over your shoulder
Not a Fan of the plod but they have a job to do .. feel for the firearms officers tho .. if your running around thinking it’s the Wild West and your on their radar for access to firearms they will come for you .. make a wrong move and you can die .. don’t run around with these gangs and keep away from it and you’ll be fine

Couldn’t have said it better. My friend is serving 10 years for conversion of firearms. I was involved at the very start. Due to just coming back from Afghanistan. I didn’t realise how illegal firearms was. Just didn’t think they would come for a guy like me. Ex SFSG. Many many shots on target myself. A lot of doors kicked in for this country. (If you can say that anymore). If it wasn’t for my wife saying you’re being stupid. Get away. Bla bla. I stopped out of respect. 4 months later he’s taken down by terror squad and served 10 years. I get a knock from them too. Told them what my initial intentions was. They said you so lucky you never converted and just had the blank firers. Took two glock 17 blanks away from me and that was that. Very very very lucky. No matter your experience with said firearms They are still illegal. Even for someone who used them on the daily. In anger. On operations. Overseas. Keep away from all of this. No good at all. If you like guns. Go to USA and become a citizen.

Tony Long is a gung ho liability. When he opened fire during the hard stop his bullets travelled through the car and missed a man with baby daughter in a pram by inches, and also through a window in to a pub.
Play with fire and your……
I find this one difficult, for me it seems as though he hasnt been tried or judged like a normal guy, having the home secrety involved and laws changed along with the redacted statements..... you were always going to be found not guilty, the government and the Met wouldnt have it any other way, Im unsure if you are innocent but you've most definitely not been treated the way you should have.
Alot of these guys listen to crap drill and rap... combined with no support from home and the chance of a quick pound note .. what chance do thwy have
The bloke was lying before he even became a Copper!!!! He was always gonna fit right into the Met ! 😅 😂
Imagine if Kev was in the back of that car and some of his associates? Do you think the outcome would've been the same, I do like Kev but back in the day he was just a deadly as the dead drug dealer. Just a thought " free Kev"
Another great interview a lot of police use metal health to cover up there wrong doing or failure to investigate complaints. He seems to be quite a mater of fact about taking a life, i have some experience of Lewisham cid i was assaulted on the way home from a pub police caught the idevidual but because as i later found out the thug that assaulted me was a relative of one of the cid involved in the case they did not do a proper investigation or collect evidence namely CCTV
