I love either regiments summer attire, I can't remember the proper name . The breast plates etc , dressed to perfection , better than the winter cloaks but much harder work to get ready for the troopers. Also when each regiment leaves , seeing them arrive and leave lined up facing each other . I love to see the colours being passed and the trumpet master on a white horse , again can't remember the military term but it's only done when the king is at Buckingham Palace.

Yes, they LOOK ornamental, but that doesn't mean that they ARE ornamental. They each have 8-hour shifts (2 in dress uniform, 6 in combat fatigues guarding the Palace) plus training every day for ground and mounted operations. Those swords are sharp, and they have the training to use them. When in fatigues, they carry machine guns and pistols.

ANY horse will bite. Some are better trained, like these horses, but even highly trained horses will bite if they are feeling threatened. Horses also have moods, just like most creatures (including us!), and when they are fed up with people crowding them, the street noise, or are just in a bad mood, they get defensive or restive.

That horse did NOT want people around XD I can't be sympathetic to the people because there is a sign LITERALLY next to the horse warning them. Even better when the guard is quick to stop the horse from biting the young kids, but doesn't stop him from the lady standing in front of the sign- and the husband with the AUDACITY to say "hey come on!" or "not fair!" (unsure which one you guys decide) because the guard didn't protect his wife. That was gold and the guard was trying so hard to keep a straight face you could tell. It wasn't laughter he was holding just pure amusement by the peoples lack of spatial awareness or reading the sign next to the horse.

Zero sympathy here, as for putting children close enough to get bitten then it's 100% their own parents fault.

Beautiful behavior by that one horse that nipped and threatened yet didn't draw blood. Well self disciplined but still WAR horses... guarding its space and person, people need to get a clue. If they wanted they could bite your fingers off, or kick out sideways, step on your feet.... Should be keeping your distance and showing more respect, the close up picture/ selfie is vanity and just rude. Edited to add... These horses are NOT part of a petting zoo. It shouldn't be a guard's responsibility to keep his horse from biting strangers entering their personal space. without prior permission. Also, if you walk through a stable, don't try to touch any horses there either, unless the owner (s) have given prior permission to do so and say they are safe. Same goes with walking up to a random stranger's dog and petting it too... some may take offense, guarding themselves AND their owner.

Its a shame they treat them like they do , either take them 100% seriously or disband . If they are a tourist attraction then start charging admission to see the act . Otherwise dont let the tourists within reach , cordon should be another 10 meters .

What makes me really hopping mad is that those people shoving children toward the horse that bites, means that the guard has to yank him back and hold on very tightly which hurts the horses mouth due to the bit.😡🤬 These horses and guards are already under a lot of stress, with all these people they are both on high alert. The Boards next to the horses are quite clear, even if they don't understand English when the horse pushes or bites other people why the heck do they think it won't do the same to them. These tourist would make Dumb and dumber look intelligent.🙄

My thing is, animals are just like people in regards that they too have good and bad days and like/dislike as they choose sometimes. So WHY, when you constantly see the same horse lean multiple time to bite others would you ALSO step up for a photo next to them LMAO! Its so clear the horse is having one of their days they don't want people in their bubble, listen to them please lmao

The world now is seemingly full, of gormless people. The woman aggrieved that her young daughter is bitten looks back at the guard, as if its his fault lol....and he will somehow do something. None seem to notice the sign telling vistors: the horses bite.
