My theory is that they don’t actually hate him, but rather that he represents the “Everyman” or average guy. Each writer forces their own trauma and hang ups onto him as a way of catharsis and storytelling. He’s an emotional, mental, and psychological surrogate and that means he’s never allowed sustained happiness.

My favorite memory of Spidey was when I first saw Spider-Man Into the Spider-verse in theaters. It was so cool to see a kid who I could really relate to, VIA stress about school, girls, etc. And I think that’s the reason why so much bad stuff happens to Spider-Man in the comics. It’s because the authors know that however much bad stuff they throw at him, he’ll be able to get back up, and still make the readers laugh.

I still don't understand how marvel of all companies thought it was a good idea to put miles in the center of Civil War 2 like that.

1.To be fair to Felicia in that particular moment, She puked because she almost kissed an obviously underage Peter Parker. (Good on her for meeting the standard). My definition of what spider-man is has changed over time (and writer's). 3. Marvel hates spider-man because they're afraid of doing anything that would make the character grow up despite how he's been doing so.

I still reeling from the fact that The Wonder Twins are actually in the comics. I never knew that. 🤯

Raimi Spiderman was my introduction to superhero movies and Marvel and the reason I think Marvel hates Spidey is because Marvel wants to screw with their fans

I think the writers just want spider man to have the worst life experiences like give this man a happy ending

I think Marvel hates Spiderman because they secretly hate Stan Lee. Hear me out, I remember hearing somewhere that Gwen Stacy was based on Stan Lee's wife. So when they wanted to kill off Gwen Stacy, Stan argued against it but didn't get his way. If Stan would've got his way here, Mary Jane might never have existed or if she did it'd be in a lesser role (or go on to become black cat). He could've also done other stuff to annoy future/other writers of the character, and since you can't have beef with Stan Lee, why not take It out on the character he most identifies with. This is just an Idea and maybe I'm way off and the actual reason is they just can't stand Spiderman.

Marvel hates Spider-Man bcuz he was the nerd getting rekt in high-school and college, but was able to go thru life improving himself before earning a loving wife and relatively stable life. I feel as tho modern editors hate that bcuz they don't actually take the time to listen to their audience. Like they want Spider-Man to lice like they did and vicariously thru their headcanons. Despite fans steadfastly demanding Peter and MJ remarry, as he was at his most stable and most defined incarnation. Ultimate Spider-Man is more mature and cogent of how to evolve the character with writing almost similar to The Incredibles but still as an origin story. USM has him married and a father, with only issue one getting a FOURTH reprint. Amazing Spider-Man is struggling to sell even 10K copies globally. The writing is poor, the story more lacking than tumbleweed, and the character assassination is unrestricted.

Hey man, you should reread the house of m. Paying close attention to what they did to Spidey. What was ripped away from him in this new reality. And how he swears he's gonna kill magneto and Wanda. Good luck alex

The microphone audio is a nice touch. Also, I think the writers hate spiderman’s goodluck. Powers, girls, fame . They’re jealous

Marvel is owned by Woke Incorporated a.k.a. Disney. Peter is not - gay, trans, or, as the name Spider-man, implies, a woman.
