    I don't get it... you don't need a clicktrack to record. Of course the drummer must have the ability to keep the time, but that is the purpose of drummers actually. Meshuggah are awesome btw. but to record without a clicktrack isn't such a big deal.

    +Anaximander29A man. if you've ever used DAWs to record you know it how tough it is if tempo goes out of sync. And having watched the band's Koloss docu, remember the part where Fredrik got very particular when the tempo of the drums wasn't in sync at all?

    @Anaximander29A

    Sanidhya Satpathy Yeah, I know this. A sync with your DAW might be cool for some effects or for organizing your regions, but this shouldn't be the reason for it. Sometimes bands simply sound better without it.

    something I find interesting: In this interview he mentions how Marten wrote 4 songs for the album, in another interview he said he (tomas) worked on 6/10 songs with Dick the bass player. Sounds like Fredrik didnt write anything for this album? Thats kind of a disappointment.His songs have always been some of the best (bleed, Dancers, most of chaosphere, Closed eye visuals, rational gaze, etc..) His songs have a catchiness that the other members don't quite achieve in their songs imo.

    All I'm saying is I love what Fredrik creates and everytime meshuggah releases a new album I look very forward to what new ideas/songs he brings to the band. So to have no new material by him is kind of a bummer. The other members are brilliant writers as well and I love their material, but Fredrik is the original creator behind meshuggahs sounds so it just feels weird not having him involved in the writing process.

    Wisconsin and Minnesota are chalk full of people descending from Scandinavia. My guess is that this is how English naturally comes out for a Scandinavian. In the case of that region of the country (I guess N Dakota and the UP as well), the accent of their grandparents and great grandparents probably stuck.
