So proud of Defar for being proud from whom she gets her strength and proudly showing Mother Mary to the cameras.

Meseret Defar Classic Run. Her kick at the end is legendary. Meseret Defar, Vivian Cheruiyot and Tirunesh Dibaba are beautiful to watch.

I am so proud of Kenya and Ethiopia.

So I did 3 miles today (about equal to a 5km)... Took me almost an hour cause of how out of shape I am. I have NOTHING but respect for people who push themselves to this level of competition, in any sport.

I ran 1500m in high school and I'm straight up dying when I pass the finish line. Hats off to those ladies!

Long distance races are becoming more and more about the last spurt. If you don't have the speed, you can't win long distance races.

Trust me guys not all Ethiopians are good runners. Take me for example. I can barely do the mile run in PE with out wheezing

After I did 800m in school I started palpitating loads and I thought my heart was literally gonna beat out of my chest. I really don’t know how they do it

we many people are crying.......your emotion make us emotional....Its a great chance to you to express your feeling in that performance......I am proud to see this magnificent running....

Such a splendid race is so beautiful ! Everyone deserved so much and the final lap and last 100 meters is full of worthy women. But most of all, after winning, tears of Meseret Defar are so authentic, and she thanks Maria and Jesus, in kissing her little icon. Today, as we all live misery and dramas, it is a great sign of dignity and hope and faith.
