MESA/Boogie Subway® TT-800™ Bass Amp Official Demo

Музыка

The new MESA/Boogie® Subway® TT-800™ bass amplifier features two separate channels in a dual mono configuration that feed its articulate 800-Watt Class D power section to create the foundation from which to build the ultimate Bass Tone.
Watch bassist and MESA® artist Uriah Duffy showcase the rich tone and differences between the blooming tube character of the TT-800’s Bass 400+ inspired Boogie® Channel with its vintage tone stack architecture and the modern sounds of the award-wining Subway® Channel with enhanced tightness in the low end, accurate punchy mids and crystal clean highs.
This evolutionary step forward combines these two distinctive preamps and creates a powerful, portable way to feature both unique personalities in one package. Learn more about the Subway TT-800 at mesaboogie.com or contact your local MESA® Dealer!

Having owned a Dual Recto for almost 20 years, to this day, it surprises me the tones you can get from it. I'd love to get a nice boogie bass amp in the studio just for their tone shaping alone. You'll have a never ending journey of new tonal discoveries.

I agree. You might want to look at their pre-amp boxes as a lower cost option. I've played through those as well and they're nearly equal to the task.

I know I'm late to the party on this one...I watched the video several times, and I still don't understand symmetrical/asymmetrical clipping section. Don't you have to drive the output stage hard enough to get it into clipping before that knob has any effect? Or is the clipping in reference to the input stage clipping instead? In the video, the master volume knobs are barely on..

This class d stuff is great, but re release those REAL 1980's tube heads like the d 180 or the bass 400, these class d units sound great, but nothing will compare to those classic tube ones.... make them in the usa, call them the heritage series, use nothing but the best components... no ch*nese capacitors, all United chemicon and spurge caps like you used to use back in the day... Ill gladly fork over $1,500 to $2,550 for a new handwired usa made full tube d180 that looks and sounds exactly like the original or even better. It appears you still use united chemicons for your filter caps in your class d stuff, thats a good sign, though this is no fully blown vintage mesa tube amp, it's still better then 95 percent of whats out there. That's for sure. I still might go for it as its the next best thing.

Some guy even complained how the tube one has had so many repair issues with tubes, etc, etc. This tt800 one is under estimated because it’s labeled as class D but doesn’t sound like it in person. I just ordered my self one, luckily found one at a small shop as they are sold out/back ordered nation wide rn.

Anyone thinking this amp will sound like the 400+ will be disappointed. But what's nice is out of the same amp, you can get amp with a fast attack and clarity plus a slower attack rounder sound. Now that they added some preamp tubes to the Subway channel this should helps put a little roundness into this channel as well but not as significant as the Boogie channel. I absolutely loved my 400+, but it was so heavy. As I am getting 20 years older, I just don't want to lug something that heavy around anymore. But I agree it's one of the best sounding amps on the planet

Bloom is what happens when amp compression has kicked in upon initial attack, and starts to return to the release point causing notes to expand with character and even a bit of volume as the compression unclamps. It's an actual aural descriptor with a well known meaning among those who are aware of such things.

You get the two channels, the bunch of options and all the little dothats wich is great if you're the kinda guy for an amp like that. But some people just want an amp with the right kind of sound charakter that doesnt even need all that tweaking and that does the one thing it does like noone else can. Mesa used to be great with that and i feel they lost that rocknroll attitude completely. if it's the right fit for you guys, that's awesome!! Disagree. First, they sell like crazy. I love them but I don't like grind either First if you've every played bass through a large enough system, the foh engineer is applying HPF to you bass and its probaby doing thorugh class D. If you like to push alot of 60-80hz this hpf can help you create an asymmetric filters and save the speaker. . My d800+ has way more heft than my other amps, but at the end of the day these are just stage monitors.

If HPF is a gimmick, why is it built into the vast majority of bass amps? Not knowing it's there in other amps due to a lack of variable control doesn't make it a gimmick. And if you use one in a room, you understand how useful it is. Also, these are far from GB clones - coming from someone who has played both. In any case, sounds like you should stop whining and find another brand if the product development makes you this upset.
