Not really. Julia overpowered her bc Meryl overacted in this. She really did. She’s done better performances. She’s not a perfect actress, she’s allowed to miss her mark every now and then. 🙄

I wish I was as genius at something as Meryl is to acting. Maybe next time around.

This guy is acting more than a fan than others. I like him being true to himself. He is not embarrassed to state it out loud.

In my opinion; very few women can match the greats like Bette Davis, but Meryl... WOW! JUST WOW!

She is just brilliant, delivers every time.

Meryl is the best, there is no other person in Hollywood who is at her level. She is a real person who knows herself and that is why she can play any role effortlessly. She can truly be any character convincingly because of this. I feel embarrassed for Sherry Sheppard and the question she asked. It made her look so stupid.

Meryl and Whoopi is 2 of my favorite actresses.

In this movie - my mother wasn't that way - but she could be mean. What I got out of this movie not to be "like your-mother" be a better mother. I believe I am towards my own children and that is what I got from learning to deal with immature parents.

I should be clear - I am a better mother because of my mother. That I learned from being around a self-indulged - insecure mother. Give to your children because they need you to be supportive.

She should have won the award not Cate Blanchett

I don't like Sherri Sheppard on the view anymore! She's so mean to Jenny cause she's jealous. She acts like an old judgmental prude now.

KrisHoppz88 Judge not. Perhaps she's "MEAN to her" because THE OTHER ONES MEAN TO SHERRI! Jenny may be "jealous of Sherri". You don't know. People are TOO quick to judge without having ALL the facts.
