i know it's quite randomly asking but does anybody know a good website to watch newly released movies online?

Everytime Meryl's on THE VIEW, she's with a young actress. Anne Hathaway Amanda Seyfried Amy Adams Also, all their names start with A.

Meryl Streep = GOLD.

The story I heard is that the original actress got bumped when Adams showed interest in the role. Agree with those that say Adams is a very good actress. Her peers seem to agree as she has 3 Academy Award and several SAG nominations.

It was Natalie Portman (she acted on stage with Hoffman and Streep in The Seagull). She passed on it to do The Other Boleyn Girl which..

I wish Joy did not interupt Meryll when she commented on why the gasp and what made the audience responded that way in the play.

@KleWdSide whoa Amy Adams isn't overrated she's underrated.....you want overrated look at Kristen Stewart all she does is lick her lips play with her hair mumble and look down a lot and a bunch of people say she's a good actresss....Amy Adams in my opinion deserves an Oscar...

Both Amy and Merryl are amazing...but why did they have them on the show at the same time if they were just going to pretty much ignore Amy and talk to Merryl...all but one question was directed to Merryl...? O-O Why not do them separately...?

she's the kind of person who would gladly give the spotlight to Meryl

The story is based on a woman Elizabeth Bailey Seton. When her husband died of TB in italy, she was left alone without any money and 5 young children. At this time widowed women became teachers. Elizabeth started a organization that was called the Sisters of Charity, doubt is based on a branch of this organization.

they wanted to give the part to another actress, natalie portman, but she didn't want it. that is what meryl did not know.

I saw Doubt the movie and it was the way I remember how some nuns were especially Meryl - she was tough - but those nuns I remembered were worst than Meryl - believe me.. One nun slapped my sister for knelling in front of her because she was concerned my sister and I wouldn't wait for her.. I did.and was angry at that dam nun.. Sister St Margaret - the mean ogre!

This was taped on December 9th, 2008, the day after she appeared on David letterman coughing up a lung. I know this because she wore the same thing on GMA (Good Morning America) on the 9th of December, that was taped live. She mentions that she is better this day than the day before on GMA. Well she is still very sick you can tell by the way she talks.

I don’t get it why one show needs a 4 hosts who always interrupt each other especially their guests. So annoying! 😤 but watching this only bcos of MERYL STREEP.

Haha, talking about donating a kidney, is that what the movie is about? Funny though, my aunt is donating her kidney to her son's baseball coach on Thursday so I guess she is like Amy and would give her kidney to anyone.

@parisloverful Natalie Portman is Jewish, and maybe she couldn't see herself playing a nun in a Catholic school? I'm just speculating here, but I can't really see many reasons anyone would turn down the chance to work with Meryl Streep.

if any white woman could play a black Dream Girl, it would be Meryl. one of my favorite actresses.

I still have to see "Doubt" but I'm doing a scene from it currently (Sr. James and Sr. Aloysius in the garden). It's going to be amazing. Unfortunately I hear that Sr. Aloysius is played as a conservative crazy, a new angle, admittedly, but I rather like her character and I believe that she is just trying to protect the boy. Thoughts?

I'm a reply fan of Amy and Merry.

I believe it depends on how they feel about the person they meet. Perhaps they doman't know some of these ladies from the view. Meryl has been on the view a few times and know these ladies. So fake has nothing to do with it. Also - it's what makes a person feel comfortable to shake hands or hug them.

@tommyburgos She actually doesn't know the world is round. Look it up on youtube. Quite disturbing.

There might have been a few nuns that were nice but I don't recall meeting anyone of those. I am talking about the 50s. I don't blame my religion - after all people can either be nice or mean.. So some of these nuns chose to be mean.

Well here’s the kicker! I’m an ex boyfriend of Amy Adams and I was only born with one kidney. I’m in need of a kidney, as I only have 5% function left. I’ve asked Amy and her financial partner to buy me a kidney and she ignores me! @Guimmi then, hmm, maybe Amy should get off her pampered, safe little Barbie butt and stop being so dang boring. Meryl takes risks; she DESERVES the attention. Amy brings nothing original to Hollywood. she is too safe and afraid to play something other than hyperactive, average looking Valley Girl types and a nun.

Streep = Legend...Adams is a very good Actress she was brilliant in Doubt! Streep should have won the Best Actress Oscar!

@KleWdSide exactly! she's so freakishly overrated for nothing but being popular. she brings nothing new to the table, isn't even gorgeous or charismatic. everyone highly exaggerates her "abilities" when all she's done is play a quiet nun and a bunch of hyperactive, bubbly Barbie dolls even though she's like 40 or something? well she looks it, anyway.

Yeh who is Amy screwing to be called a great actress? She's no such thing.
