@@scribejed8027 a female trooper convnvinces merrin to board the mantis to help them find the shroud (an item that can make who ever wields it invisible to help hide from the empire and keep “jedi survivors” alive.) merrin falls in love with fret (the trooper) but find out that the inventor of the shroud was frets ex irei who she thought dead. They get back together and then they leave the crew. Thank god.

She needed to see the galaxy. Not like a promiscuous woman, but like a sheltered child that finally broke out of her cage.

You could honestly feel a spark of chemistry in JFO, and seeing it officially done in Survivor actually felt somehow so natural. Really well done honestly, i usually refrain from “shipping” characters, but in this case it was absolutely well deserved.

I like how they really took their time developing this relationship and not going for the usual game romance trope: "I just met you but I already love you lets kiss now". That even Horizon Forbidden West did in the DLC just for the sake of giving the main character a romance.

@@moisesfreire6408 totally agreed. I haven't played Horizon but I agree that it feels natural in this story while also fleshing out the characters. The whole story feels built around Cal's relationships with other people, Merrin especially and I wouldnt have it any other way.

When they bring Cal to live action they CANNOT forget Merrin, the conversation at 12:51 and their relation!!!

I'm not ready to say goodbye to these two characters with their amazing chemistry. I have a feeling that it will happen on the next (possibly last) storyline of this series.

Oh also Merrin’s dead pan night sister humor is hilarious. The conversation about Merrin guiding him back if he strays from his path is one of my favorite moments in the game. Especially because it pays off later.

5:20 this shows how Merrin has evolved from an angry witch hell-bent on revenge for her fallen sisters, to a calmer person existing in the galaxy spreading wisdom and help wherever she can

The chemistry between these two is just so natural. It just flows. I think many of us saw this coming from miles away....

I really hope we get both of them in live action. Apparently there's gonna be a season 2 of Obi-wan, and I see no reason why Cal couldn't make an appearance. We all know how strongly Obi follows the Jedi code, so having him interact with another Jedi that has decided to break the code but still considers himself one would be interesting. Could lead into a whole sequence with Obi revealing to Cal that Vader is Anakin Skywalker, and how Obi is sensing a lot of the same traits in Cal.

The force can only guide Cal for so long, a strong woman like Merrin will guide him forever ❤️

The Jedi feared the dark side so much that instead of teaching them how to deal with their emotions, they taught to suppress and in some cases deny those emotions. Which is the main reason the Jedi didn’t take younglings who already had formed emotional bonds, Anakin being the only exception.

I think the whole idea of Tanalorr is to give Cal an ending where he is living the rest of his glory days out on a remote planet hidden from the empire, which definitely explains why we don’t see him teaming with the rebellion. (Despite the obvious reasons)

Despite the fact of her growing up on Dathomir, she has an amazing sense of humour I love it

So far I’ve been LOVING Jedi Survivor and THESE moments are what I rooted for in this game. I hoped that as the games went on that Cal sorta goes “grey jedi” (very much like an Ashoka figure) and realizes that some of the reasons the Jedi’s got fucked is stuff like this. Feeling Love. Having Connections. Having actual normal feelings about stuff. Both for his team, who are like his family, and in this new development (one I’m personally a big fan of) an igniting romance with Merrin. This harkens back very much to Jolee Bindo in KOTR. Who in my opinion nailed this shit on the head years ago. That the Jedi being so devoid of attachments is a point of failure in the Jedi code more than anything. The fall of Anakin to Vader is literally caused solely around that fact. If he had not needed to hide Padme as a dirty secret and been able to get help he would’ve never fallen, or would’ve been at least WAY less likely to fall. So seeing EA make this move is great. I’m glad they gave us a satisfying payoff for it and have some great character development. Because I’ll be honest, when Cal and Bode had that little thing on the Lukerhulk about Jedi not having connections I was worried they were gonna make Cal “come to his senses” and stiff Merrin out because “he’s a Jedi and can’t do that.” Jedi Order doesn’t exist anymore dude. You’re making your own choices now, and in my opinion, made the correct one.

Merrin and Cal are the best! In my opinion Cal is a good example of a "Grey Jedi". An idea I came across that I really think sounds interesting, where Jedi are still Jedi, still good people, but they allow themselves emotion, allow for attachments.

I love how these two are individuals before they're a couple. They have their own wants, needs and desires that just so happen to come together in enough places for them to be together. Its what a real relationship looks like.

Ahhhhhh I needed this so badly….they are the cutest couple in all of Star Wars history I swear lol. Merrin total bae and so cute. Main reason why is she is like this tough badass but then has this super cutesy adorable side too and I just love when a girl can have both sides. Like…when she meets her man she just lets all that toughness fall when around him alone and it’s so adorable. Like right there in that scene when there riding the dinosaur looking thing and she held him to stay her balance…but she did it also cause she totally wanted her arms around him and Cal knew he liked, he knew!!! That smug ass smile of his…he was like yea…that’s right hold me tight lol

They're sooo sweet together)❤

We need DLC about their life together after the main story. About how they raise their Bode's daughter as their own and teach her their skills. Could also add your own children.

@@thekratosmeatrider I feel that since Respawn are the ones writing, they'll go the more original route and have them survive. I feel like that's why they created Tanalorr, a hidden place where they call home far from the Empire's grasp. That's what I'm hoping at least. Star Wars couples dying or ending tragically is a totally predictable cliche at this point.
