I saw Merle live in the 70's, 80's and 90's...Been my all time favorite since the 60's....BUT, of the times I've seen him live, i never got to hear him sing my most favorite song. That is, " My House Of Memories " That would be on my bucket list if I thought it possible. It'd be the next best thing if he sang it on a you tube video like this. Can't tell you what Merle's music has meant to me all these years.

Ever since The film tv show Movin On, my father and family enjoy watch show every Tuesday back 1974. One my favorite song Movin On, back then saw tv special ads on tv good old days. Had buy record, once came in mail, later my parents buy album. Always enjoy classic hits songs though years, on radio stations. At younger age 7 still remember most songs saw him in concert at State Fair. Once in life time. Truly amazing artist and talented singer and songwriter and more. Thank You. God bless him in heaven now and Forever.

The first time I remember hearing "Tonight The Bottle Let Me Down" was from a very drunk young lady in very flimsy gold lame' shirt at guitar pull that erupted after an ol' time opry show in Columbus, Texas. I still think of her every time I think of that song.

Now they made a great movie about johhny cash's life its time they make one about haggards i promise you this man has been through alot just from watching/reading his biographies.

You inspired me to write songs and sing.

Merle, you'd be doing the world a huge favor to record more of these homey versions of old classics, and some of the newer ones too, like Rainbow Stew and Kern River. Like you, I was born next to the Kern River (but in 1939), only west of town and have a lot of memories mostly good but, some bad of the river. Did you ever swim at Bellevue weir, just west of Stockdale? I figure the only real difference between you and me besides a couple of years, is looks, talent, luck, and maybe brains -Adios

Merle well done I wrote a song with the help of a few of your Lyrics that I deticated to my Dad and you it is on youtube Check it out type in Daddy will I see Merle Haggard in heaven now I only sing for my own pleasure as you will see but it was from the heart and most Power Lineman have alot of heart and while working all over this country I hade a chance to work with my dad and Merle Haggard was always with us.my dad is still working today at the age of 75.can`t slow him down like the Hag
